You might be able to find other cheap hotels at http://www.kayak.com
That sounds like a good deal but isn't that a little far from the track?

Steve, do you know when you post too much? When I got on RC tech of the top 10 threads you were the last post on 4 of them!!!

Jim ... it's about 20 minutes to the track. I live just south of there.

If you call the hotel listed on the entree form and tell them you stayed there before and it was $85 they'll give it to you for that price. Thats where we've(Schreff, Larry, Al and I) stayed every time we've been up this season. Not by any means the nicest place but also not the worst place I've stayed....... Plus its bout the closest you can get to the track under $100....

It is at least valuable information, or good opinions.

Jim....have you ever posted anything positive about racing
on long island?

Every thing you say is 'its to expensive" "its to far from the track

Maybe you should let the people that will be doing the
racing work it out

Executive Inn Woodbury was pretty decent and around $100 a night. Wifi in the room was a bit hit or miss, but otherwise no complaints. Around 15 minutes from the track (or five minutes if Valls is driving)

Funny I was thinking about looking into that Hotel tomorrow. I believe they have a corporate rate of 85 or 89$ a night. The place is really nice, brand new, big lcd tv's in every room etc. etc. I'll call tomorrow and post my findings.

Yes, I have posted several thousand things good about RC racing on Long Island. But I don't come on the internet praising everything like it's the greatest, and then in person say something completely different. When you tell people the truth and tell them what to watch out for, they appreciate it and respect you for it. If you pump things up people raise their expectations and when those expectations are not met, not only do they get pissed off but it's likely they're never coming back.

Sorry if the truth hurts.

Goetz said that if any you guys can't find a room for under $100/night, that you can all stay with him.

Something about the more he can get in the room, the cheaper it would be for everyone.
