good drifter, yeah. Racer....yeah but you gotta really drive it well and tune it well to stay competitive with the current generation's stuff, and even then it might be tough. Depends on the caliber of racer you're up against.

anyways, you might want to think about putting in a steel diff (like the one from the factory team tc4) instead of the aluminum one it says it has if you're gonna run a high-power brushless. A 13.5 melted my composite rear diff. Im sure aluminum will withstand it better, but steel is the way to go.

Not a bad car for entry if tuned right the TC3 can be faster than some of the newer cars but parts may become a problem as the kit is over 10 years old, nothing wrong with a older kit as I run an old Xray T1 myself. The TC3 is a good car but lacks the strength and well they seem to wear down parts faster than most other cars.

good car for drifting and if you ever want to run in a sportsman\rookie class. Out sportsman class has lots of cars like the tc3, xray T1s and XXX-s. The most current car is mine, a losi type r, the next cloest is probally a tc4. In this class the chassis doesnt really matter all that much. Good luck with your car!

will an xxx-s stand a chance in a regular 4WD sedan and touring car class?

If your running against experienced racers with new cars no, the XXX-s is much heaver so unless you drive perfect you'll be getting passed. Now if your using it for p-lot and entry level racing then yes it is still a good car.
