I am in need of a pair of 414X front bulkheads and was wondering if any of you other 414 guys know of where I may find them.

I have manny(virtually every) 414x parts, new never run if you need anything.

Please pm back if you have an extra set of front bulkheads or need any other "NEW" 414X parts.

Marty

Well, I'm looking for the original 414's (item:49132) left and right rear bulkheads and early solid blue Tamiya setting wheels.

We'll talk price if you got them.

I have an extra new set of rear 414X bulkheads and used 414M and 414M2 bulkheads available if you still are looking.

PM me if you still need them.

Hi,

Took my HPI TCX and Tamiya 414 to the track yesterday. After months of trying, my fast lap with the HPI TCX was 15.5 sec.

The 414, after 1 day of tuning, ran a 14.9 sec.

This is in the 13.5T boosted class.

My HPI TCX is now for sale. What a waste of money when an 8 year old design is faster for my driving style.

YOU KNOW WHAT, YOU ARE RIGHT, THATS WHAT i have been trying to tell people for years. You know why the 414 works better? becuase the motors center is in the centerline of the chassis ! Since the 415 came out, every manufacturer copied the layout becuase the 415 sold so well. Everyone thought the 414 type cars had too high CG. But whats the use of having low CG when the motor offset so much to the left? When the motor spins at high rpm the gyroscopic forces generated can adversley affect the cars stability, having it off center inst good even if you can get the CG lower.
i always prefered the older designs.
look at htis video of my 2002 Kawada SV-10 Alcyon II Ultimate battling a 2010 Yokomo BD-5E. Notice my car never loses stability. The Alcyon II is a similar design to the 414.

Post your set-up and I will try to help. I won with my 414 at the roar natioals this year and tq'ed 1 round at the reedy race. And finished 2nd overall. Maybe someone with skills would have won with it.

I am using the suspension blocks that came with the kit, blue springs in the front and white in the rear with 40wt all around.
Ball diff front and back
Camberlink in the front is in the outer middle of the shock tower.
2mm spacer in the RR susp block
ride height is 5.5 f&R
droop 2 in the front and 3.5 inthe rear
Using a saddle pack battery and it's going to be a 17.5 non timing on rubber carpet.

Please post your set up.

Thanks.

Also are you using a short reversible suspension?
