Have you guys notice that the rear dampers of TRF414M is kinda leaning outward. What I mean is that the ball cap at the top is more outward then the bottom one.

Is this intentional? or should it be fixed?

Yeah, I don't now why they said to use 4 spacers on the rear, I took 2 out so I had two left and this made it level. Make sure you do this on you car, as it prolongs the life of the shocks and makes them react the same at any level of compression. Just remember when you change the wheelbase that you add or remove the right amount of spacers to keep the shocks vertically level.

If you check Jun's car at the Novak race his car has them just about level, slightly outwards on the top, but I guess thats because if he removes another spacer the shocks will hae the top inwards.

ROBORAT:Cge, let's try one time... anyway, la na kong problema sa Fiesta C. Try ko itono sa Pasig. Re your question, yes there is an adjustment in the caster n camberlink. You can have more caster by simply adding a spacer/s underneath the bulkhead and to have more flexibility, in camber link position you can attach it to the shock tower. did I answer your
question?

Danny, whos car is that? Actually that almost looks like mine now but I dont have time to do the top sway bar as I still prefer the one like Joewee has. I did the servo exactly like that.

If possible, please give me a photo shoot on the lower belt tensioner post. Where is it now?

Dear All,

I am now a proud owner of TRF 414 M. I really enjoyed building the car... but unfortunately... it's been raining for the past one week at my place... and I can't try it.

But anyway... I'll be reading this forum more often and will be asking you questions about the car if you don't mind.

Regards,

I was this evening at my local hobby store, and in the 2002 pricelist from the dutch tamiya importer I saw a new car: TRF414M2. I don't know how it looks and what the improvements are toward the old car. The only things i know are the price : € 599 that's approximately $480 and the partnumber 49219.

I know David's set up but it's kinda long to post. Here's a short version.

Camber: .5 deg front and 1 deg rear
Camber link location: Inside middle hole front and rear
Front oneway with direct center pully
Yokomo orange front spring, Tamiya white rear
Tamiya 2 hole 800 front oil , Tamiya 2 hole 700 rear
Suspension arms swept full back front and rear
5mm ride height front and rear
TA04 front caster block with upper link location on the king pin
Front upright: C1 on right, C2 on left
0 deg toe front and 6 deg rear
Blue front bar, yellow rear
Sorex 28 with HPI Red inserts front and rear
Shock angle: second to inside hole front and rear
Rear suspension block spacing: 2.5mm front and rear
Front suspension block spacing: .7mm front and 1.4mm rear (downward angle )
Down travel front: 1.5mm
Down travel rear: almost none

I think that's about it!

Topforce: If I am not wrong the 414M2(49219)is the blue edition 414M that was launch to celebrate the championship wins recently in Hong Kong. Personally I find the original 414M looks better.
