I'm sure that this is a preference but if not running in the A mains or even B mains at a big event, I would like to know which is the right unit to purchase.

Thanks in advance.

Wow...Barry is back.

Tekin RS (not PRO) is all you need...and you don't need to run MOD motor cause with the V203 software, your 13.5 will be a MOD motor for outdoor (like HTSC or even LHR).

Even if TEKIN has a crackberry edition for the Hotwire...can you really READ anything on the crackberry? I think you might need to update the firmware of your eye first...LOL

Netbook is about $250...more then enough to run the software, and browse internet, watch live streaming movie, while wrenching cars...it is a MUST have beisde the Tekin RS/Hotwire/V203.

Hey!

I have looked into Tekin and wonder, wich Tekin is the best for 13,5 stock class and modified? I will run both and want the best out of it.

What i can read, do i need to have a computer to setup the ESC? if so, how?

Thanks! // www.andrefossto.wordpress.com

The car is a X-RAY T3 foam.
I've only had a few runs with a X12 10.5 but ended up using;

Start 5400 - end 14000
Profile 3
Timing 40
Turbo 10
ramp 2.0
delay 0.5

The gearing was around 7.3 on a fast layout 30*16m track

i don't know about your tracks, but at mine, we have more computing power than NASA. you probably won't need a laptop or hotwire.. find a buddy and flip him a few bucks or buy him a hot dog in appreciation for laptop/hotwire time.. seriously we had no less than 2 dozen comps all running hotwire at our last race.....

Many thanks... My life is getting back on the correct track.... As you know it has been a long few years...

Thanks for the idea with a netbook, I did not think of that... i have a spare (or two) notebooks, I just thought a connection to a smart phone would be really cool. I was basing my question on the setup sheet, so I did not a big need for a lot of info on the screen, just select 1 to 6 and enter a few numbers ...

By the time the snow melts off, I will be hitting the track... I have been taking 30 credit hours per term (8 weeks) so it has been really crazy...

Let me know what is happening in the area... I would not mind hitting the carpet.... but Elk Grove is not open at this time... Hopping.....

To answer your question, it doesn't matter whether you go with the RS or RS Pro. The main difference between the two is that the Pro gives you an extra FET board to run motors down to 2.5 whereas the RS (not Pro) can only run motors down to 5.5. All the programming is the same between the two, just limited vs unlimited motor choices is the main difference. So, if you are not going to run below 5.5, save yourself the dollars and get the RS.
Yep, I'm here, I just have been spending my time with my retooling for this job market...

But we have MADE the turn.... It is time to get setup for the racing season....

Barry, just get the #%!@ thing and come on back down to play on the carpet with us. Hurry. You might even get to see Leighton running a 12th scale around the track.

Even I had to get one to go in a WGT.

Same at NorCal Hobbies...And the store has a shared computer to help those without PCs in making Hotwire changes during our races.

When you have 203/vegas 2.0 you can down grade to any of the old versions

You should run 203 unless your track demands some other version. If that is the case, run what they tell you to run.
