Yes, drop 4 to 8 pinions from the Vegas 1.0 setup.

No, 40 in timing boost, motor set at 0.

Dit you try it on the track?
I want one for the nationals but as it can not handle the rpm's that the Tekin will give it now, i will take a speedpassion V3.0
I wanted Tekin but it's not allowed.
Ad my club it will be Tekin 13,5T
I am finding the X12 is the best motor I have ran. I have yet to run a Tekin motor. The X12 can handle 200 degrees no problem. You can go as high as 220 and be OK with it at the end of a run. The rotor is a monster for strength. It will give more drag brake naturally. I find 50 drag brake on the RS is to much for these motors. They will brake more than you realize at first. Small drag brake adjustments are felt on the track.

I also really like the timing adjustment on this motor.

I was also thinking the term RPM for boost start and end may be a little better reflective as not real RPM's but as increments for on road. As it is way to difficult to calculate for an onroad track. The changes I made to rpm start and end was interesting. It seem to smooth the punch if you lowered the start rpm. This lagged the motor some and generated more heat.

You are not kidding. If you tray and use this software like the old you will burn a motor. I know Randy suggest to temp the motor just a couple of minutes into running. I know I will be starting with a 6.0 FDR with a 17.5 on Sunday.

Setups at 55 work great, I always suggest going "small" first than going up the higher levels....

55 is the max timing boost now. I'm guessing that the RS won't hit that until you are at your max set RPM.

Kenny Lambert's setup is probably pretty close, but plan to adjust the rollout a bit - see page 626 for the setups Randy has posted...

make sure your file name is TekinHotWire_4_0_0.zip

I loaded up v203, set timing to 40, boost to 9, rpm end to 10k, start at 3k, ramp 2, delay .1, with my duo 17.5 and it sounds very strong. Granted I won't get on the track for a while, and it snowed today, but compared to the delay of boost before, I think this software will have alot more punch. I'm sure I'll end up changing those settings 10 times before I run the car just to see how it responds.
