two questions please

1. anybody knows where i can buy replacement capacitors for RS Pro in the UK or elsewhere in europe.. or perhaps ebay?

2. I understand there is no appreciable advantage running more than 1 capacitor (like 2 or 4) in 10.5T class.... but my question is... is there a DISadvantage?

thanks

g

1. sorry
2. yes. think of it this way. the larger the capacity of the cap the longer it takes to charge. not that is just in msec, but still, it does take longer. a cap is used to level out the transition points. so from heavy load to no load of from no load to heavy load.

So would that mean running a few smaller cap's would allow them to charge faster and even out voltage faster? Out of the 2 values on a capacitor, which is the most important, voltage or milliohms? Thanks!

Not sure if this has been asked, but can a regular RS speedo handle being ina TC running a 13.5 or a 17.5? Also I have asked this before and nobody responded, but I'm curious on the 17.5 and 13.5 motors. Are they a competitive motor to run? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, the rs can handle down to a 5.5. If you get the hotwire to program it and get the firmware updates you will always be up to date and competitive.

(pick that champs brain!)

We have a pretty good sized track in Tacoma,wa. I want to say it's about a 90' straight. I'm actually considering not even using the turbo at all. I gear for the in field plus a hair higher and drive as best as I can to maximize corner speed and exit speed.

If I had a national champ at my local track, I'd be his new best friend faster than .2 seconds

PRICELESS,

Al, just a little FYI, I run the tekin RS PRO with V200 at FW. I ran it with straight timing and gearing, and gearing down with turbo, gearing up with turbo, this and that and this some more, its ALL the same on THAT track, the lanes are so wide, and so flowing that it makes no difference at all. driving good lines in the in field, and esp getting a good run at the straight is what makes the difference. But thats just MY opinion

Can someone tell me how to install v200 into my RS? I do have the hotwire but can not find any material on how to install this on. I do have the 200 file from Randy.

OK I have been doing some reading and sounds like I need a zip file of the 200. Randy sent me a text file.

Change the file extension to .zip

I believe there's a video showing you everything you're asking for on Tekin's website.

Thanks for the direction. I can not find any videos on the site. It does not have a search feature that I can find.
