For those lucky enough to have a beta copy of 199 and posting ESC settings please stop until it's available to everyone. I'm fairly certain people asking questions are not Team drivers and the setup is useless.

Relax... people are specifically asking for setting tips for the "upcoming" 199 version so they can prepare.

What's the unit of measure for 'delay'? Milliseconds?

Am I right to assume that...

Motor timing is fixed, applies throughout the rev range
Boost is a set amount, and comes in as the revs rise
Turbo is a set amount, and comes in after a time delay after full throttle is hit.
Total timing is motor + boost + turbo.

Like Cap't America says, just trying to prepare for 199!

(PS - please don't give me that full and total explanation we had a few pages back! I'm a simple lad, so clear, short answers to the assumptions above will be fine!! )

Yes the delay is in milliseconds and adjust in .1 sec increments.
The above is correct in a simple way
motor + boost + turbo timing = anything up to 45 deg of max timing as a guideline.
On instances when i ran close on 50 degrees the car would buck/jerk a bit at full speed as it switched phases.
If used and run above 45 degrees of timing there is chance of motor damage or esc damage but will also vary from motor to motor from my understanding.

I don't count my turbo with the total timing.
As I count motor timing plus boost plus 15 and plus turbo I will come on the 65 to 70 total timing.
And as you set the motor on 24 boost on max plus 15 you get 69 total timing and that is to much.
That's why I count the Turbo not with the Total timing.
You can ad easy 20 Turbo on the 40 or 50 total timing and the motor doesn't get to hot.

Can the rs pro really be used with 4 cell lipo? or is that beyond its limits?

Can it handle 3 cell lipos?

That is possible.
As soon as i felt the buck/jerking i took it for the max and possible incorrect firing of the phases, so reduced boost and it went away.
hence my conclusion and it will definately be motor dependant as we dont know the actual inherent timing from the manufacturer.

So with 199, when you combine Turbo+Boost does your car say "Yes Michael, we have full power" and proceed to change into "battle mode"?
Ahhhhh, I need sleep....

We are finding that with higher gearing we needed to turn off delay .It still takes about 3/4 of a second to hit. we also have large curling sweeper. We found it helped pull harder through. Remember our straight is only 75 long
