What's the smallest recommended wire gauge for use with 25.5 no-timing up through 17.5 boosted?

Looking to trim some weight. I think I've been running 16 gauge (or maybe it's 14, can't remember) with no problems. I'm wondering if I could drop to 18 or even 20 gauge.

I mainly run 1/12th but I can give you some pointers.

LRPs don't like as much timing as most other motors (they have a lot of timing in them from the factory) so for boosted, use the -10 insert.

Start with about 40 boost, maybe 8 turbo.

20k end rpm, maybe around 4 or 5k start.

Just want to remind people I have HotWire Software help guides up on the site:

http://www.teamtekin.com/hotwire_rs.html

And also have a page to show all the LED sequences on the RS interface:

Thank you sir! I find it is much easier to explain them to racers with visuals, so if anyone ever asks you guys about them please show them this page.

If you're talking about 2 versions, like 203 and 212, you really can't. I think someone figured out a way to do it but you needed 2 os's or something.

i havent tried it as i have no need, but one of the guys at the club has..

you need to install the older software (in this case 203) then install the newer version (212) into a different folder on your computer..

for example..

v203 installed to "c:\program files\tekin203"
v212 installed to "c:\program files\tekin212"

then you just need make sure you have 2 shortcuts to the hotwire executeable which point to the 2 different folders.. shortcut 1 becomes v203 and shortcut 2 becomes v212..

no reason this shouldnt work for you
