our good lap times are about 17 to 17.5 seconds

tonight i couldnt do a 19.1 , 19.1 is my fastest lap with 208 !!

Check the settings M-Technic have given. FDR depends on the length and size of your track. My friend is using the same motor and we have a track of 80 feet straight and very tight technical infield. I set his car fdr to 10.2. But then again we are messing these low turn motor with turbo and boost timing.. so far no problems as yet except that it was insanely fast and hard to control. If you dont wanna risk blowing your motor, There is a basic setup for 4.5T by Tekin. Maybe you can try that out first.. Good luck

Thanks
DUO2 17.5, FDR around 6.0, motor timing two clicks from full. Rubber tire sedan.

Boost 50, Turbo 10, ramp 2, delay .4, RPM range about 5k to 15k, throttle profile 2, current limit 85. Our track is probably smaller, though. Here's a recent video.

Default IIC in Vegas

I am looking for starting rollouts for V208 non boosted. The classes I will be running are 13.5 WGT, 17.5 12 scale and amateur 17.5 touring car. If anyone can remember what they ran 2 years ago it may be close.

with a track that small your not even getting turbo, there is much more to get with just motor timing and timing boost and rpm range

I have the 203 in a winrar file but be sure that it is not used on the same pc that you have installed the 208. I keep the 203 on my desktop while on my laptop the 208. The 203 felt like there is more rip on it but hence the 208 feels much smoother and advantage on it is the brakes and cooler motor. Used to run FDR 7plus on my 11.5T on 203 with 65 to 70 deg c on the motor while 208 with and fdr of 6plus gives me a max of only 61 deg c. Same track same motor...

Default A cry for help ... ;)

Hi all

Well, i have some issues with my Tekin/Novak Balistic 10.5 combo.

I have tried everything, FDR from 5.7 - 6.7 all combinations of timin etc etc
Should i go for RPM(high FDR or torque ( low FDR)
whatever i do, i CANT get it hotter than 50 degres C

Track 1 has a 36 meter straight, lots of turns.
Track 2 har a 45 meter straight, fast and flowing.

One thing that i can figure out, is, motor timing. On my Novak it is a N mark, this is 15* som when setup says 5, that is two mark to minus side???

Another thing, if end RPM is set to 14K instead of 20K will topspeed be the same?

Any suggestions for this two tracks?

And, is the Balistic wrong motor? should i go for an X12 instead. Seems like my buddies hwo run X12 has more RPM..

Lots of questions, but i em desperat to get a fast setup, other have Tekin and gets around a lot faster, even though we where equals before Tekin

Dude, i wouldnt be complaining if the temp doesnt get too hot. Check out your motor spec and see whats the maximum rpm. Please state down your Tekin settings here and see if the rest are generous enough to share their experience and knowledge. A fast setup doesnt mean that your car is goin to be fast as well. But if you do hit the right spot, its all up to the setup of your car and also your driving skills. I have never used a 10.5T before but on our local tracks here, even the 11.5T i use can keep up with lower turn motors. So different track, different settings.

Oh, we're definitely hitting turbo. I know 'cause my newer ESC was kicking it in at the wrong time, so I turned it off entirely and it was a snail down the straight. That's not to say it spools up like you'd see on a larger track, but it's definitely a factor, even on a shorter track.

i should re phrase, your not getting all the turbo feature, there is mot to gain in the rpm range with timing boost and motor timing

12th scale.
1S LRPX12 17.5 non boosted, endbell full physical timing.
90' x 45' carpet, 80 roll worked well.
