I ran the Sweeps, Jacos, and Sorex. I just switched back and forth all weekend. The Sweeps are for sure about 3 tenths slower than a Sorex or Jaco. But I have seen no issues with the wear. In the "A" I was on Sweeps with three previous runs on them and as anyone that was track-side can confirm I managed to put in a hell of a battle with EA (who was on RP reruns I think). We swapped the lead a number of times and sat about a foot apart in nearly every corner. This run was killer, and the involvement of the crowd added to the intensity. In the end EA finished in front. Props to you EA! That one will go down in on my list of best battles ever. I am glad you didn't move over.

I think two drivers did manage to break a wheel or two. However, I firmly believe that even if we ran a race on steel wheels, somebody will figure out how to break em.

In the end economics played a major roll in the tire choice and saving nearly ten bucks a set will add up when all racers check in. And if they are a couple tenths slower for every one, who cares.
how have you been prepping the sweeps before a run to get the most out of them?

cheers

In my old house I used the garage as a shop....Counter tops, AC, Heat, etc. Well I always kept my cars in the house due to not wanting any of the screws to rust and such. I also had a pit trailer that I took racing. I loaded everything up except the cars that I had took in the house and hung them in our closet where I had hangers for all my cars. So I drove 5 hours and was getting off the interstate at the track and realized I left them at home. So I borrowed a car and ended up having to completely rebuild and set it up. After the race the guy to this day says that is the absolute best car he's ever had.....And I must say that it was dialed on his track!

I hope my kids not turning into another Q. I don't think the track can handle two.
