Do you have a brush alignment tool?? There are a few things that you can do to get more RPM..1st of all see how much play is in the Negative brush hood and also you will want to take out as mch side to side play as you can. this will help get the responce time up one the motor... but you seem to want RPM.. That`s going to be kind of hard with that motor... but you can try timing the brushes...remove about .5mm from the training edge of the brush and that should give you a bit more RMP..but to a ton of it..but on the flip side..you will lose a bit of torque..it kind of a trade off.

Yokomo ST or the new Orion Katana TS... Both are Standup Torque based motors that Have a Large ammount of RPM to boot

Here is the New Tamiya RZ, with some proper tunning, the numbers are pretty good on the dyno. Will be testing on track next week.

From the printout the the New RZ perform pretty much like the Mirage pink.

What I look for is AMPS and then RPM...after that ..Responce time( spool up and stopping)

I will look for WATT, which is the power output on specific loading(AMPS). I think the 22, 25, 28 Amps are quite important numbers since most people run 23T touring in 8mins.

By calculation, 3.3A/25amp*60mins*60secs=475.2secs. Therefore, 25 amps is APPROXIMATELY the average amps draw for the whole 8 mins race.

Just my 2 cents

OH, about the efficiency thing. Efficiency isn't a big issue on 23T at all because the car seldom dump b4 the 8 mins mark.

Yes on most "NORMAL" 23T motors...but I have a few YOKOMO LR and LT motors that have a good time at tring to not make the 8 min mark with some very good batteries

Matt,
When I lived in Japan 90% of the racing was 23T, and 8 minutes which makes your eyes water I'm pretty sure it's the same way in Korea. You can be my overseas contact for Team Much More products and other hard to find stuff.

Plus for 8 min heats you"ll need some good run time on your batterys too anything under 405 is questionable

Dan over at Fukuyama keeps me happy in the power department Besides, we ran 5 minute mod when we only had 2000's back in the day and I could make runtime with a 10turn
