I just started checking hotel rooms for May 22-25 (check-in/check-out).
The cheaper hotels are already full for the weekend. Ended up with the ExtendedStay America in Roseville for $85/night. It is next door to the Claim Jumper Restaurant which is my fav in the area. Booked the hotel res online directly with ExtendedStay; so, my credit card is not charged in advance (like Travelocity and other services). Yes, this hotel has a reasonable cancellation policy in case I don't get in via the race entry lottery.
Considering the Reedy is on Memorial Day weekend, you might start looking...

Hi guys, I am in Amsterdam right now but when I get home, I will have all the hotel info from our host hotel. We have some good deals set up at a couple of places. Main place will be the Orchid suite, very nice hotel with full morning breakfast. I will have the rates and registration procedures when I return.
Many registration forms have arrived this week. for those guys waiting, make sure you send them in.

Hello everyone, Remember all practice and race days are posted at WWW.SPEEDWORLDRACEWAY.COM.
There is NO practice on Monday - Thursday @ SpeedWorld. If you come to the track on a weekday, the track is very dirty and I will not clean it if you show up. It takes over 3 hours to prep. The only practice on weekdays are for the racers that have schedule a private practice day and you can go to my site and read the rental fee.

Hey Scotty, I have called and have been by Billy's (Speedworld) several times in the last few weeks. He will not answer any of my questions regarding the Reedy Race because he said “it is not his place to tell anybody anything without your approval.” If you need help while you are traveling to other races, could you give Billy the power to give out hotel and other info on the net? A lot of us don’t realize that he is busting his balls to get ALL the info for the Reedy race and he is not even putting it on, he is just providing the facility. If he truly knows most of the answers why isn’t he allowed to say anything? The longer we wait the harder it is on us racers. I am not trying to start anything, but I feel that the racers should have known about a lot of important information a few weeks back when I am sure you have know all along. Billy is a friend of mine and I have seen him working countless hours for a lot of races in the past at Speedworld. At those races all of the information was provided way ahead of time. This was invaluable to the out of towners and locals. The Reedy is just over a month away and we are in the dark. Please help us all… Thanks!
