I don't see where I can purchase that chassis...
I can only purchase their Upper Deck though... which is nice too.

Thanks,

Why don't you wait for the HPI graphite chassis plate to be released in the next couple of weeks. It can be pre-ordered from Tower for $47.99.

the only problem I see about the invector chassis is that the closer you move the electronics side pod closer to the front. the more difficult it is to remove the batteries. You may end up getting the PRP upperdeck or removing and reinstalling your existing HB upperdeck.

Default HELP!!!!

Hey All,

I am in need of some help with my Pro3...

I have the HB Rear Shock tower and I am having trouble getting the dogbones to stay in the outdrives, they are right on the edge which I know is going to lead to a blown diff outdrive....

What shock length / shock limiters etc should I be running in order to fix this problem...I have a race tomorrow and really want to run the tower but this is driving me crazy, I tried adding spacers in teh shock and that didnt work I am really out of ideas....

Help please!

Hi! I have the same problem before.

You could corect it in the following manner:

1. Try to set up the rear in such a way the og bone is almost parallel to the track surface and exactly straight and does not lean forward or backward.

2. You could also len the rear wheel inwards, if #1 does not help but loose traction.

3. Buy HB diffs or OVA diffs they are loonger the the standard diff.

4. Get a fillament tape (fiber tape) and tape the outdrive so there will be some sort of extension of the out drive. about 2 turns will do, but not too tight!

With the front one ways, the bones are also short so I Placed some shims on the outdrive to extend them about 2mm.

IF ONLY HPI or MIP MADE THE CVD's 2-3mm longer then we would'nt have any problems!!!!!!!!

Lem, My problem seems to come from shock length, what length do you usually run your shocks at, right now I am around 61-63mm, by my calculations to get my dogbones parallel to the arm I would need about 55-57mm and I don't think the shocks could go that short...any ideas????

Yep u r correct, thats why i had to get an after market shock tower from Jet!

Its thicker and has better mounting options than stock and HB. thats the reason why I was able to make the shafts parallel. it has 2 rows of upper n lower mounting holes.

if you don't have time to get the shok towers you have to lean inthe shocks and tune inthe car again, but the pro3's rear is a ot better if the shocks are almost standing.(in my opinion)

hope u find a solution and gudluck!

HB shock towers are designed to be used with HB shocks, which are shorter. You either have to try shorten your shocks or get some different towers. As for longer cvd's, Titanium Racing makes some, they're cheaper than HPI standard cvd's here in the UK and they're better quality, aswell as being lighter and stronger since they are titanium.

Does anyone know the part number for the HPI Pro3 purple alloy upper front and upper rear bulkheads. Not sure of it as HPI # or Hot Bodies. I know HPI do the lower bulkhead.

Thanks,

Yorkie
