what leads you to believe that assumption? I'd love to see this car ASAP, but going on AE's last two kits, tc5 and RC8, at least 4-6 months+ from when they originally estimate their releases. Production combined with customs and shipping from China can be a bitch to estimate.

i guess so, but im pretty sure their model is finalized now. Theyve been testing for a few months now, so im guessing they should have em out as soon as they can manufacture the parts. Im guessing Associated should have to manufacture everything themselves, because their not borrowing are they?

Looks really nice!
I see the car is now LiPo ready. Just the question of time when LiPo comes to 12th racing.
Question about the side shock: is this working both ways or is this a "normal" shock?

it works both ways, kinda like a shock with no caps. Im not sure when lipos coming to 1/12, but it will be hard to match, and there would be a lot of changes in weight, etc.

Stormer has it listed at 250 so Tower's price would eventually end up down there aswell.

I am guessing that you will see it around $225.00 and maybe lower at some other locations.

how much was the L4 when it came out? because now it ended up costing like $180, which is ridiculously low.

250 seems like a very reasonable price for the kit. Compared to an L4 which was 200 the last one I bought, I spent 30 on lowered aluminum pods, plus I believe 15 or so for the lunsford titanium front axles. thats 45 there. Plus all of the upgraded parts on the R5 (like the 2 shocks and new front end) compared to the L4 I'd say the price is pretty good.
