How thin do you want the shims?
Try the hobby shop as they have sheets of material in various thicknesses.
If you need them thin and would like to try some at near zero expense cut up and old drink can.

You might want to try the Arm Mount Shim set for the AE TC5. https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...ns&pn=ASC31198. These snap in around a 3mm screw on the bulkheads of a TC5 in a similiar manner as the front caster spacers on the 12R5. Give it a try as they're only $4.

I have been useing a 4 cell nimh pack for the weight on the other side of the car. It helps balance it from left to right. A few guys tried the booster here locally and switched to a rx pack.. Hope it helps..

Right guys n gals. Getting back into electric racing for the winter as nitro 8th outside (on road) is seriously wet . Got a good list so far of what i'm going to buy. R5.1 (ofcourse), KO 951 servo, LRP SXX and 5.5 combo. Now batterys.... been looking into getting Lipo's.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...0C-37V-4900mAh

Been looking at the SMC cells above. Now how many of these do you need for a race day? Would one be sufficient? I know that you need a Lipo charger but would you need to discharge before you recharged them or can you just charge them up without 'maintainance' ? For a charger would you recommend a Much More charger? Would i need any balancing equipment or any further connections? Or would you recommend anything with a inbuilt balancer???

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...scharger-Black

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-LiPo-Balancer or

Any help on the battery/charger questions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Chaz

You could also finger rape a gorilla!! Neither is safe, nor ROAR approved.

Having finger raped many gorillas over the years (mainly ex girlfriends) i can honestly say that it is not as dangerous as once thought.
