It uses the same case as our 5000/28C pack.

Danny,
This Hyperion HP-EOS0610i charger and the Duo is the one you like? I have no problem picking up a new charger, just looking for the smart and easy one. Don't see lipo going away anytime soon. Time for the nimh only chargers to take a hike.

Went with Danny's original recommendation about the EOS0610 DUO; and, glad I did.

Went a spending spree this week. Got the EOS0610 DUO on the way. Got the 5000 on the way. Got the chassis weight... on the way. Couldn't seem to find a good reason to buy two packs. If Drew say's one pack, then it's gotta be real! Even went to WallyWorld and picked up the Sunbeam heating pad for $13. Plus I had a Liposack tossed in for good measure. Hope I not did miss anything. Someone commented about having or wanting a longer charge lead for the Hyperion charger so that liposack could get set off to the side of the pit table some. Then I thought I read something about voltage drop off and that the length maybe critical. Fact? Fiction? Any insight?

Yes, I commented about the longer leads. Even 3-4" would help...

Still waiting for a knowing person to chime in about the effect of going to that length.

Only reason I needed two packs is for practicing. Can do runs about 10-15 minutes apart with the motor being cooled by a fan in between runs. Excellent!

The top wire 5000s have been shipping for the last couple of days. We didn't get in enough packs to fill out all the backorders but next week were expecting another shipment that should get us closer to being caught up.

For the power lead length on the Hyperion chargers I'm pretty sure it has something to do with calibration and proper voltage measurement. Someone may want to ask Hyperion about this as I would think when using the pack hooked up to the balance board it should be fine to use a longer power lead but I could be wrong.

+1 for the duo. I haven't done anything crazy (outside of what Danny instructions) and my cells are pimped out!
