number 1 on my list for ROAR to do...

But lets not stop there Ms Prez...... There were 3 items on the list I posted....

Number 2 was the forum for ROAR members

Number 3 was a national driver rating system I think.....

It sucks getting old....

Patience my dear OLD friend... patience...

about the voting, that is coming.. this is why we have people signing up to be a member of the website so we have the beginnings of verification of that person. Right now, we need to figure a way that one person places one vote... not easy but you are more than welcome to offer your suggestions to our webmaster. (I'll never understand it so I will delegate.. LOL)

Just signed myself up. First time member. The brushless motors and lipos were nice, but the online registration sealed the deal.

No that's one that was bounced around a few years ago. Something like what's done in karting. RC isn't uniform enough for a national ranking to work. I even think someone tried it and failed.

I'm sure the webmaster for ROAR knows how to do it...

Ooooo... Jim and the can of worms......

It could work to a degree but it would require all region directors and their assistants attending every sanctioned event in their region and gathering data and sending to ROAR within a timely manner and then somebody taking that data, deciphering it, logging it and notifying the hosts of large events where each racer falls into the ranking system...

oh, and all in volunteer time......

but, could work......

Not quite that difficult! Require ALL promoters of sanctioned events to submit results in a timely manner. This could easily be done on a promoter accessed area of the website and a preset database form. Then merely a database query to sort. All member numbers linked to the database so that my card will depict my status. Since I have to present it at check-in. All sorts of possible tweaks to such a system is possible with the technology and communication possibilities.

A similar system is used already for U.S.A Cycling and encompasses thousands of events a year and a member base much larger than ROAR. The key is for the racers to encourage the promoters to submit and help maintain the system.

Just signed up online this week and I already received my ROAR card and packet....

Just wanted to congratulate the Current roar reps on doing such a good job in making ROAR relevant again......

One suggestion would be to sell ROAR apparel as an option while renewing. I would have bought it especially with the convenience of paypal....

I do hope all the hard work you guys having been doing will get a lot more people interested in renewing or joining....
