The S120 is one of the nicest 1/12th cars I have ever run as long as you are running sub C nimh batteries. Serpent will be releasing a link version of the S120 soon. If you are planning on using single cell lipo batteries, you may want to wait until they release thier new link car. You can make a single cell lipo fit in the current S120 but does require that you place the battery on one side of the T bar and all of the electronics on the other side of the T bar opposite of the battery. You will have to add additional weight to the electronics side of the car to get it balanced and that will then put you over the 730 gm. minimum weight.

Other than that, it's an awesome car and I am sure the link version will be as well.

putting my s120 together this week, things not going to good. one of my slider blades broke and when I was snaping the e-clip on to the mono shock shaft, the shaft snaped in half.

Ouch! The Serpent metal is very hard but that can make for a brittle piece. I have not broken any parts yet except for two of the hardened optional diff rings. Those will shatter like glass they are so brittle!!!

Until you get a replacement slider, you can just put longer 3mm set screws through the aluminum slider and use those to set the T bar tweak. I sometimes do not use my blades. As for the shock shaft, not much you can do there except get another.

How can you tell the difference between the old one and the new revised one?

Thanks.

Thanks.
the old ones have groves on the bottom side and the new ones just have lines on top side no groves to make it weak.

The last I heard was that there won't be a conversion kit, since so many things have changed (chassis, rear pod, etc.) The front end is the same, though.

Not so fast, Gavin at Speedzone is working on a saddle 1s lipo. I've trial fit the dimensions of the pack on my 120 and it will fit so there is a viable lipo comming for the t-bar owners, just dont know when it'll be avalible.
