Is anybody running the E4 with a 17.5? If so what pinion, spur combos are you running as I dont think a 60/110 combo would fit right? This is in 64 pitch

Cheers

just get smaller spurs 88-96 or so you should be able to get the gearing that you need:)

anyone interested in very good condition run twice TM E4? But I broke one of the front CVD and don't have time to fix i'm looking to get $275 shipped. On road is pretty much dead in my area I'm currently building a 1/8th scale off road track. If anybody here have a 1/8th scale buggy or truggy let me know I can trade?

Not to rain on your guy's parade about the E4 but is it really any good? I mean when everyone saw the prototypes in the begining everyone said it was going to be horrible and the stupidest design ever. Im just a little curious.

E4 Shocks

Hi,
Eventually built the E4 RS and can't wait for it's maiden race this weekend in the first round of the UK's STCC championship. Can't wait, the car's been great is testing so far!

Has anyone tried different piston setup's in the shocks? I would like to run 3-hole pistons instead of the standard 2-hole, but can't find any optional spares. Anyone aware of other makes that will fit? I've tried the tamiya pistons, but they are slightly too small.

Thanks for everyone's help,

Thanks for everyone's help,

what weight are you running for shock oil?? I found out that 30wt oil with the 2 hole pistons seems to work best so far.

We wouldnt be driving them if they're were crappy:blush:. Of course they're good. Great car in all respects, and super service from Wolf Hobbies.

Go back and read the last 10-15 pages on this thread and rear drivers reports on the car and you'll get a good idea of well the car is doing...its really good. Easy and fun to drive and very well made.

The best of luck with the new car this weekend !! Go turn some heads man!!

On the shock piston front, TM have some optional piston sets with 1,3 and 4 holes. Not sure of the PN though. Will try and find out.

Also, with the G4 we had a lot of success enlarging the 2 holes to 1.2 and 1.3mm. It slowd fluid movement within the shock body. Keeping oil temp down and thus giving a good, consistant feel thoughout the weekend of racing. We typically had to go up 15WT from stock hole size to the new enlarged sizes.

I hope this helps.

British Menace
