Just a few words about the project.

I found a new setup basis which provide a better corner speed and less weight transfer under braking. I also lightened the prototyp parts, as they was a bit heavier than the original ones.

I also order a set of light wheel axles from Wholf Hobbies, but I'm very disapointed with... they send me used ones, with many marks of dirt and grease as they was already assembled on a car... this is really not fair. I also received a wrong cut graphite upper front bumper..........

So, I'm still waiting from new froms TM, I know they are working hard. For information, some parts have already been updated (body posts are now larger, front upper bumper is more durable, A-arms have now the possibility to set the wheelbase).

Had to look at it for a while before I figured out what it was. Its an interesting way of creating overdrive and underdrive between the front and rear. Much easier than changing belt pulleys.

Sorry to hear about your experience with Wolf Hobbies. I hope he corrects the problem.
Very glad to hear about the updated chassis progress. VERY much looking forward to getting the new car when it becomes available. Is there any projected date of release ?? Thanks so much for your efforts.

I am looking at a used E4 to run at my local track but I only have Turnigy 5200 lipos will they fit the E4?

Not without the K factory lipo kit or Yodogs battery tray
You have to raise the top deck about 2mm to get the 5200MAH lipo's in.

Question here folks....Does this problem apply to ALL versions of the E4 or only the original E4 ?? I don't use larger than 4000mah in my E4FS cars but it would be nice to know for the future. Thanks

Dunno about the E4JS or E4D but all the E4 with carbon chassis have this prob if you go above 4600MAH lipo:confused:
If you use Yodog's lipo tray it will be not as much a problem but above 4600mAH(also depends on what brand lipo) it will be a problem.

I have to say I as well have had problems with wolf. Won't go into details because I'm sure he means well:rolleyes:....I think he's running out of parts or something. I dunno. But I also would like to mention that I can get my venom 5600 in with some shimming. But like Pro10 said there will be differences in brands. And yodogs tray does help alot.

About Big Lipo that my first problem too.

I use 5600 lipo cannot put in my E4FS .

I shim with 2mm. like Mr.Pro10noob post . Can use big lipo easy.

But now my lipo it's not bubble . When it's bubble may be more shim.:sweat:


I have 2 lipo for play drift it's not hard work for batterry.

1 lipo5600mah can play 30-45minuit to 7.4-7.2v and I stop.

And 2nd lipo can full charge in same time.

Not waiting can play continuos with only 2lipo 5600mah.

I use my lipo very long time. Now may be near to 1year. For 2-3days per week.
No bubble and flat case.

I happy my E4FS very much.

Its only description is that it is a carbon radio plate for the E4. However, looking a little closer, it looks like the aluminum piece in the middle of the picture is for the hinge mechanism for the battery door on the E4JS.

I tried looking at the KFactory site for more information but there is nothing there. Can anyone confirm that this is an upgrade for the E4JS?
