Use 2mm spacer all the way around to lower your roll center... Car will be really stable on the apex with tons of steering...

hi

i have read that for the xray t3 and tamiya there will be a new rear gear diff.

something like this:

http://store.hkshobby.com/product_th...pg&w=533&h=400

do you know if this will be anytime for the TM also available?

Jochim_18 07-26-2010 06:21 PM

none of that gear diff will fit the TM E4 they need to build a gear diff where the pulley is right on the center.

Does anyone know how old this kit is?

About late 2008 up until 2009. The Dave Ehrlich Edition is the most top notch version of the E4 there is. Some of the options on the DE edition may no longer be available. If you're interested in the E4 and have an opportunity to pick up a DE edition for a good price, BUY IT!:D

Anyone have an idea on my problem. When I accelerate at full speed there is no sound and it smooth. When ever I start braking from a high speed their seems to be a chattering or grinding noise. I have looked over the car but can't figure it out. When I lift the car up in the air and accelerate to a high speed and then brake, it does not make the noise. Only when there is a load on the car and its on the ground.

Could be belt slip, or could be the spool.

Could be belt slip, or could be the spool or the Pulleys slpping form the shaft.

Its comon for this car. Dial ur brakes out a little or use drag brakes.

You can look at it as a protection to not destroy ur entrire drive train by these parts slipping, in races you dont do full stop race anyway.

And its not healthy to do dead stop liek this anyway for an RC car regardless on shaft or belt.

Yup that is the sound of a belt skipping teeth.
Check your belts and belt poulies if they are worn or if there is dirt between the teeth.
Also check the tension of the belts.
What has been said before trim the break a bit down.
That will help.
Most of the time it is the side belt that is causing the noise.

Yes, I have one coming next week. I was wondering if it was still a viable option for racing. It appears as if it is. That is good to hear.

So you can buy a E4 like this?

cheers Roy

Here is a picture of the car I hope to get this week. I guess it comes with all the available Wolf Hobbies options on it. Lets hope the deal goes through.

I can tell you really that the bumper on the DE edition is no longer available.

I tried to buy it last month from Wolf and the item had cancelled from my order because according to Wolf there is no definite ETA on it being available back in stock. Hence no back order.

The red alum. upper bulkheads are either available in limited quantities by request or are no longer available any more. Either way, their pricey at $55/ea.

Not to worry because those parts were basically bullet proof. You will never have to replace them. It just sucks for guys like me trying to mod our existing E4s to get that durability.

phisher 08-01-2010 11:44 AM

I wonder if one could be cut out of a blank or a similar bumper modified to fit? The gentleman I am getting this from is a professional driver and only ran the car once so, I think there is plenty of life still on the original one.

phisher 08-02-2010 02:43 PM

Yesterday I ordered a bumper and stickers for a E4. I have yet to receive an email stating that these items where out of stock. I don't know, maybe I'm doing it wrong but, they appear to be in stock and ready to ship.
