does any one use brake disk on their EP
I tried a set (speed way pal)but it never work. Why would anyone use friction brakes on an electric car? |
Guys I have been running the shit out of my car and loving it. The tires suck and get no traction (jaco tires), but it's still fun.
I have the mamba max pro in it with a 5700kv motor. The gearing is 110spur and 38 pinion. My esc was 135 temp, the motor was 190. I know I need to change up the gearing. Any suggestions? I don't race, just fly around the parking lot doing my own thing. Also looking for a little more top end. Robert |
if you are just bashing just put the biggest motor you could find.

Hey guys another question. My car when it gets up to top speed tends to want to pull right and the faster I go the harder it pulls. Any ideas?

Check your front toe... You might wanna put 1 degree of toe in to stablelized the car on high speed and also check your steering trim..

Guys,
Any special tip to mount a Brushless Motor on JS (plastic) version of E4 ? Im helping out a friend who bought a JS kit and is trying to put a 13.5 brushless motor (tekin and novak) and says that its IMPOSSIBLE to do it, that its no way to move the motor to put different pinions. thanks, Pat |

BTW, I've had 13.5 and 17.5 Novaks in my JS and there has never been a problem with gearing for either. Perhaps your friend need to consider different spurs as well. |

Original E4 and LIPO
Hi All,
Firstly apologies if this has been covered, I had a good look through the thread but there is lots of stuff in here ;-) I've just become the proud owner of an E4, but it's not the FS or the RS and I run LIPO's, so my question is, is there a kit or a parts list that I can use to convert the E4 to have the additional space to run my LIPO packs?? Thanks in advance Richard |
Sig
oops just noticed I need to adjust my sig, as I now own an E4 as well as the E4JR, sorry if that confused anyone

There are more then one option to get enough space for lipo's in your E4.
You can run Zippy flightmax 4000mah hardcase lipos. You won't have to do anything about space just to dremel a bit of the front of your side belt tensioner and dremel the middle axle holder on the top part. If your using 5000mah hardcase lipo's you can space out your topdeck for about 2 mm to get clearance for those lipos or you can buy the K-Factory K2127 lipo conversionkit and there is everything in it to get enough space for lipo's. http://www.kfactoryracing.com/produc...2127&pageNum=1 Hope this helps you in your choice. regards Roy

Get a hold of rick "Yodog" on this forum he got a bad A$$ battery tray that he is selling for Team Magic E4. You will not need any spacer to fits those 5000mah ++++ battery packs and this way you can keep the car at the lowest CG as possible.....

I had problems with my steering wandering on the straight when going top speed. Check your droop. If you have too much droop on the front end, as your car speeds up the weight transfer will result in the rear end steering the car.
I too had a under power steer and it was because I had different spacing under the turnbuckle |
Thanks
Thanks Guys, I'll PM YoDog and have a look at the KFactory kit.
