Long arms & X brace
Is it common to file the FH/screws to make the fit flush on the bottm side of the X Brace
#3123
Hey Andrew,
I'm too picky about the counter sinking on the x brace. The steel screws when sung dont fit flush...

More Testing :)
Hey Guys,
I tried a few things over the weekend on a slightly lower bite track with a short straight and more turns.
results: Great!!
What I tried:
I left the front end the same,
I changed the rear side springs to orange and the cemter shock spring to CRC black.
The car had crazy roll and was fast threw the tight turns.
Never diff'ed out and ran consistant the entire run.

As to SG1's setup, I also run at The Gate and work closely with him on testing. After his switch to the orange rears I did the same except with blue front springs and a 14# center (Associated VCS red). It is a faster and easier to drive setup. It starts to mimic a rubber tired TC with the body roll and just carves the corners.

I glanced at the CRC site and didn't see it.
I put a simular set up on mine this weekend...except I used 50 front spring and the shorter kingpins. I was leading the main against Ian's car for a while, but ended up second by about a second. exact fast lap times so it's me and not the car... I would like to try the different springs for a loose condition myself.

For the long arm conversion..do I need to use the 3277 CF piece like on my 1-12 scale? My guess is the the connector strip would need cut to fit the front track width of a WGT.

What I think is funny is everyone talks about VTA and USGT as the best racing classes with equality as the standard. For us... WGT is.
I'm putting the long arm front end on this Thursday and fresh foam... and like the saying goes in Cleveland...Going to "Tighten It Up"
