What does everyone use or recommend for servo for this kit?
JR 3550 and 3650
Futaba 9650,
KO 949
Hitec 225,
Airtronics/Sanwa -
94141 and 94145
I have been using the Hitec 225 ($21 street) , and it works fine. The only thing is the linkages for steering are alittle short (IMHO) unless you use a JR servo. All the other servos mount with the servo mounts more forward. This may also have an effect on ackerman angles too.

Thanks Shawn, I have been looking at the JR Z3650 but many places are out of stock. I did find one for a couple dollars more but I think I should just order it and get it shipped asap.

Shock oil wt?
Tire colors?
I will give you my setup, but be warned, its alittle crazy at speed sometimes. Its lacking alittle bit of high speed stability.

I run a 10.5, Lipo, with a 50mm rollout. (Technical asphault track)

F/R Weight ratio - 63% Rear
Tire Diameter? - 59mm Rear, 57mm Front
Ride height - 6.5mm Front, 6mm Rear
Droop - 2mm
Camber/Caster/Toe-in - Camber - -0.5, 5Deg Castor, -1 Toe Out
Spring colors front and rear? - Front - Purple CRC, Rear - Stock (Losi Gray?)
Shock oil wt - 40WT
Tire colors - F: GRP Purple R: GRP Magenta (Works Well, nice balance)
or F: GRP Magenta R: Jaco Pink (Not as good a balance, but more traction)

I am still experimenting with foam compounds right now, trying to find the right balance. And the car lacks stablity when going down the straight away, swapped out the servo saver, servo, and double checked the front end setup, found acouple of problems. Will know more on sunday

Side dams help a lot with stability on the straight. See if you can enlarge the ones on the wing or attach them to the wing and body. Also less camber helps.

I ran the car for the 2nd time today, first time I didn't have access to a truer and ran them fullsize. Our track, 360 Raceway is indoor high bite asphalt, the car pushed on power, I think my best lap was around 12.8. Today I trued the tires, they were smaller than I wanted due to user error, around 2.1" but the car worked so much better. I put the 35lb center spring, thicker tube damping, and a 2mm limiter in the shock. I ran 11.8, the shop owner ran 11.6 with a stop in the lap, so probably an 11.2 clean, much better. I was running 10.5 4 cell, 30/96, rc4less Pink tires. I think its scrubbing a bit, I'll keep playing with the car, it might be good on purple fronts.

Anyone know if that $40 lipo battery with the below specs will fit this kit?

Length: 137.5mm
Width: 46.7mm (17.5mm radius sides to emulate stick pack shape)
Height: 23mm (20.5mm height between bumps)

All i can is WOW about this GEN X 10. I also run at 360 like mikexray. I took my car out today and in the main ran an 11.2 with my car. I was the only one with a pan car so i ran with the 19t rubber tire sedans. I ran the car box stock also with rc4less pinks all around. I made a few adjustments to my radio and the car felt awesome. I am running an hpi Murcielago body and it seemed to work well. my car is wearing the front tires a bit but i think it was due to my driving. I drive my touring car a lot smoother than the pan car. This run was on 4 cell with a speed passion 13.5 and an lrp shpere comp.

Shawn.
Have you tried running some toe-in vs out, or do you lose too much turn in?

Should fit. Its only .5mm longer, and .7mm wider then a trakpower 4900. And this car was obvously designed with the TP4900 in mind.

Actually this sunday the car didnt make much of a run. I got acouple of practice runs on the car and it was working well with the setup I posted alittle while ago.

On the second lap of the first heat my axle snapped. The car is only a month old, and has been badly damaged from a crash acouple of weeks ago.(Another car t-boned mine at full speed at the end of the straight away).

Unfortunately its going to be acouple of weeks before I can get a replacement axle.

Well I grew impatient waiting on this kit and have been searching high and low for 3 days now online for any online store that might have it None found! Today I figured I do another search and there it was one left and snagged that baby. Will ship tomorrow and have it by Saturday priority mail. Man hope all my items arrive at the same time.

Looking for a jr z3650 servo which is all I am missing, anyone?

Ok found the jr z3650 and it's on the way.

Shawn or any team crc member, will that .5 lenght and .7mm witdh be a problem trying to fit the lipo I am planning on getting? If anyone can let me know so I can put 3 lipos on order as I don't want to purchase until I am 100% they will fit.
