For the 2010 Asphalt Nats at NorCal Hobbies, using the old Gen-X 10 chassis I ran...
FRONT
Jaco WGT Spec tires (ran down to 52mm±)
Red springs (with no pre-load)
Caster, 1 shim forward/2 back
10º active caster
1-1/2º camber
0º toe
in-line steering
inner hole on steering arms
MIDDLE
1S Battery (approx. 1/2" behind servo)
ESC behind battery on CRC shelf part
Servo pack on left side (to transfer weight from side-to-side)
Receiver on right side
Top deck mostly dremeled away to look like an "X" above 1S battery (similar to LE)
Front shock/antenna mount replaced by a simple ball stud
REAR
Jaco WGT Spec tires (ran down to 52mm±)
Red side springs (with 1/2 turn pre-load)
30wt oil in the Losi shock, Associated blue spring
1mm droop
8,000 wt in damper tubes
Long side links
Thicker 4mm top deck for rear pod
4mm ride height all round (smooth track)
Protoform Sophia body (on wide rear body mounts)
935 grams race ready (ROAR limit is 930 for WGT)
Otherwise, for tracks with less traction, I had to run softer rear tires to have enough rear grip.

Did 2s with 13.5 and 17.5 using the original Gen-X 10 on the very good asphalt surface at NorCal Hobbies.
The setup was closer to what I posted for 1s than what JR007 has above (less the servo battery pack). JR007's may work better for an asphalt track with lower traction conditions.
Those original Gen-X 10s were great fun with 2s power...

Still Bill's 1S setup is almost dead on for Pro10.
The only changes from his setup was I ran Green front springs, with 5deg active caster, and alittle bit of toe-out on the fronts wheels (less then 1deg).
I also ran a 12-14lb rear spring (from assoc.), and the Protoform Peugot medium downforce body. I found the medium downforce to have a better balance, and more turn in. (which is why I ran a stiffer front end. ) Ran it with a 2S 10.5, 40mm roll out, maxed timing on my motor (Novak 10.5 SS).

ran again today,track was rather cool,only 26c (78f) here today and over cast
got my centre of gravity set up much better,removed a bit of tweak
running very nice,only trouble im having is on a big sweeper it under steers under power
going to try moving the lower arms to the front position see if that helps

im not sure if this was directed at me,as i mentioned cog in the post before.
i may have miss led, what i was referring to was side to side weight so it was balanced,not heavy on one side,sorry if i confused matters.
in regards to your question about battery size (unless you know have a gen-x)
length in mine is around 136mm
width 48mm
height 19mm
my batteries (max amp mv5250) are 23mm high,i had to add a 5mm spacer under the posts so my battery would fit.this raises front of shock mounting as well
shawn68z whom has much more experience than myself said raising it a few mm wont hurt,not sure about 5 tho.
on they associated it has diffrent height options for the front of the shock
they say it adds fine tuning of spring rate, but on the gen xl 1/12 it says raising the front of shock mount reduces steering.
so im still unsure of this

CRC CONVERSION
Im new to the class and have the Troy Mckune conversion chassis. Im racing 1s lipo with 10.5 , car is brilliant .No sign of lifting wheels ,it is so easy to drive its scary. Ive never raced in anger yet against other WGT but have ran with 1/12ths and its not far off the pace.
My own time is approx 0.40 of a second a lap slower.Dont know if thats good or bad.Will be racing it in anger on the 3rd of April so will have a better idea then.

CRC's larger 1/10th scale springs are conical shaped and color-coded.
Please note that for carpet racing, I use 1/12th scale kingpins and springs on the front end of my Gen-X 10 LE. They react quicker than the 1/10th scale parts. Perfect for carpet. Because NorCal's outdoor asphalt track is so smooth I plan to test using the 1/12th scale spring setup for that too.
