Is there a different stock number for the black gears? If so, what is it?
The original unreinforced white gears is 50794. |

Yup. I don't know exactly how, but it's working. I got the program card for it, as well. Teensy little circuit board in a case 5 sizes too large. Think I'll have to make a smaller case for it.

Sydewynder,
I used araldite and a bead of knead it around the case/gear as a reinforcement and also to assist with the lateral loads. At this stage it is holding up well, however I am still testing for longevity and wear. I have done a lot of practice laps and a few race meets and have not noticed any wear or oil leaks. I did use green slime on all of the 'o' rings and seals. Time will tell. The biggest thing to confirm on construction is ensuring the gear is positioned correctly and not getting any glue on the gear. If you do it will bind on the secondary gear. Other thing is to ensure the secondary does not bind on the glue on the edge of the diff case/gear ring. Anyway, the cat is out of the bag now, so another secret gone. Happy Building if you decide to purchase one or two. Later, Calvin. |
Will there ever be a M05 that can take a TC battery?
Im talking about a updated M05 or a M07 if you like :P |

I' m sure you guys have other secrets up your sleeves............like how to drive. :D |
Sydewynder,
I don't know about the driving bit. There are some bloody fast, consistant mini drivers down here, who are way better than me. I just like to have fun and attempt to be competitive. :sneaky: My mini is normally the slow one. Later, Calvin. |

cleaning gearbox & diff gears ??
Hi there. Whats the good stuff to use to completely clean the gearbox gears & diff gears ??
dishwashing detergent? solvent ,fuelite ? soak in a tub & scrub with toothbrush ?? Ive just bough a TL01 & I need to strip, clean & re-assemble. TL-01 gears are pretty much the same setup as mini's (same but different) and a sidenote. How often should I strip & clean my M05 gears. Only gets used on racedays , 2x per month. Cheers |

Depends where you race. :D
Outdoor: Track with many corners and two high speed straights on Low Grip Asphalt I hope this helps you to find some tires. |
I have read the mini's require slop but I have an M05 pro that I have just finished building and want to know is it normal to have 2mm of space between the wheel hex and the bearing. It seams strange that the bearing should slop about.
Should I shim or just leave? Michael |
