2010 TCS titles
Apologies if this has been posted already, but here is a link to the TCS championship winners setup tips on their respective cars, including Brandon Kosowlsky's Mini.
There are tips, a setup sheet and some useful pics. I thought the fact that he found the front shock tower one of the most important parts of his setup to be very interesting considering most of the comments on this forum to the contrary.... |

The Tech Racing CF-R M05 conversion is at rc-mini HQ now and Tim is busily building up the first one now.
For those who cant wait, here's a quick pic of the 2 page instruction manual |

It is funny that it still sounds like the mini gearbox whining ... how does reverse work ??? |

^I was watching the video... thinking... "thats downtown la! I hope he gets on the 110fwy" and you did, too bad for the traffic though. Torque steer!!
Reverse? LOL, put your left foot outside and push. |
rcnutbag,
I think cal posted it a little while back, or someone did. Not sure though, i was looking for it a week back and ended up googling for it. Personally i dont know what to make of the front shock tower. Although i only ran it once on a high traction asphalt surface. I have spoken to a couple of people who have told me that they preferred the front shock tower and i think they were saying that standing the shocks up makes the car drive more like an m03 and i think they were saying it helps to prevent the wander. But i personally didnt really notice any difference. But i dont like racing on that surface which i was testing, and brought the M05 out because i didnt want to smash up my good M03, which was built by one of those gun mexican mini drivers! I think cal is going to start playing with one, so i'll be interested to see what his thoughts are like. Especially seeing he has been really fast lately, i havent been racing much and ive also gone back to the M03 which is more predictable. |

Setup sheet says he used a 21 tooth pinion. I don't have my car in front of me but I though 20 was the biggest you could use.
During the summer i run the 3Racing gearset(i know not TCS legal) and a 24 tooth pinion ( we have a 70m straight and use silvercans) nice speed now LOL |
M03 Upgrades ?
What are the suggested up grades for a M03 ?
thanks |

Lastly, I also got mine as I use (and sell) the counterweight, and it gives me the adjustability to make the front a bit more snappy to counteract the extra (balancing) weight over the front wheels if required. I'll be testing it soon and will be interested in seeing how it goes. |

I have one myself, and am about to give it a try. Personally, I bought it not only for the fact having that adjustability to go from fairly upright (a la M03) to a M05 is worth having, esp if it does remove some of the wander (not sure how that would be the cause though - have to think on that one.. :weird:) but also it's a brace, and best of all, it's blue!
