Default Which Lipo fits M05 Pro

Hi guys,

I just bought a M05 Pro. My old orion 3200 carbon lipo fits. Does anyone know which new lipo battery will fit also? I need to buy some new lipo.

Is it worth the effort to balance the M05? the motor side is heavier. I m thinking about moving the esc (GTX) to the right side (non motor side) and move the rx to the motor side.

Thanks in advance

Some other Orions fit, Reedy 2400-3400 fit, also the Peak racing batteries.

I run mine with that same layout. Esc, and AMB on passenger side. While the receiver is on the motor side.

Default M05 Weight

A question on M05 weight, race only on carpet in UK. Only allowed to run silver can or Tamiya sport tune motors, What weight are most people running with shell ? think mine might be a bit too heavy 1360g ! with Lipo and personal transponder.

you might have the best handling mini on the track but you will be giving up a lot on the straight. We run 1200g min at our club.

If you are going to put your mini on a diet remember to keep the weight bias 60/40 (front/rear) on the scales or your handling and acceleration will suffer.

Please give some examples of how to shave some weight off the M-05. Pics would be helpful.

Thanks

I got a new body for the M03. Its a pint size pocket racer. Its the Spice Suzuki Artuo. I kinda wanted to keep it simple nothing fancy with the paint job.

I also use a low profile Airtronics servo and hide the excess wires, and ESC Cap underneath it.

Hi Ben.
Mines at 1367g and Rhys' is 1420 and as you know there's not much between them on the carpet.
However at Eastbourne on Tarmac.... Rhys has the edge. ( but thanks to your question; not for long )

Cheers Shawn, don’t feel so fat now . Might try and get a bit lighter just to see how it handles .

This is the Factory BMW Mini Countryman Entry into WRC for 2011.

Tell me you don't want a LWB one of these for your M chassis!!!
