It's a Mini, but unlike any one you've ever seen before.

I was messing around with my M chassis and I set them up for some parking lot mayhem. I had my M03 set up with a Tamiya Lightly tuned motor this is a nice motor with a good top end speed, slicks for the front and medium radials for the back. I use blue spring all around and they are a little too stiff so I will have to experiment a little more with the spring set up. My M04 I have a brushless set up. I have a 45A ESC and a 2230KV motor and with this set up I have plenty speed. I can come out of a curve sideways it has so much power. I set up the M04 by lowering the rear more so I get better traction and I use a softer compound tires in the rear for better traction.

Started 3rd on the grid, got dumped to last, fought back and took the lead on the last lap to win it. :sneaky:

Does anybody know how to convert a TL01 to a Mini chassis without getting the kit. I've seen it done where the TL01 chassis was just shortened to a M03M chassis.

Look at this photo from a few pages back:

http://www.bodywerx.net/photos/Rebuilds/HPIM1318.jpg

There isn't a conversion kit. Its just a case of cutting out the box section that holds the ESC and receiver, then regluing the chassis back together. Then shorten the propshaft by the same amount to keep it 4wd, and fit wishbones/upper links/steering tierods and driveshafts from an M03.

What glue is strong enough for that modification?

Any measurement?

That one is for the M03S W/B

If you want it to be M03M W/B just cut accordingly.

I did one SWB and MWB.

I cut mine with a bandsaw, and then C/A'd it to hold it in place. Melted in the left over pieces to make it look factory. Then I epoxied the inside to hold it all together.

It makes it VERY heavy, but it looks good.

I think I will be making another when the M05 Rally comes out. evil laugh.... :)

Rear Hub degree M04L

So...I'm looking at replacing my rear hubs on my M04L with some aluminum 3racing ones.

Just curious...for everyday bashing/running (no formal racing for me) would a 2 degree or 3 degree be better?

I have a hobbywing 13T brushless system (along with a 10T motor for when I wanna go fast) so I was thinking that the 3 degree might provide some more rear traction for me....which I despirately need sometimes. :ha:

Anyway...just looking for some opinions. Thanks.
