I'm looking for a piece that once was listed in rc-mini website...

It was some sort of droop limiter for m03 chassis, but I haven't been able to find it....

Can anyone tell me the part number/brand?

Great stuff. We race indoor carpet oval. About 140ft race line. Any help for oval would be great. Some of my concerns are shocks, springs, and oil. I know i have to go out and see how it handles, but any thing would be helpful. :tire::tire::tire:

hi nc state, for oval i would probably wedge it. example if running counterclockwise, ride height 3mm left side, 5mm right side, weight heavy on left side. soft springs left side, hard springs right side. hope this helps.

i have the original TRF dampers on my M05 and i use 5mm spacers in them

what do you use ??

i use the mini springs also

what thickness oil do you use in them ???

hi sidecarphil1, I use the TRF mini shocks with no inside limiters. oil anywhere from 35wt to 60wt depending on track and temp.

I think your TRF (long) with 5mm spacers is good.

Thanks for those tips. The other question i have is about tires. The tires that came with the kit have 42214-39244 printed on the side. I bought a set of "M" tires. These tires have the same no. on them. So i am a little confused.
Our track is a high traction carpet. I will be replacing the shocks with TRFs.

The kit tires has those numbers ,but only those numbers. With M-grips ,S-grips and Type A's these logo's will also be molded on the sides of the tires. So your M-grips should have some number and the words M-grip on them .

I found the letters "M" grip on the side of the tire. My eye sight must be going away. Thats what happens when you get old. :o:o:oThings dont work like thay should when your young.:tire::tire::tire:

An old school Toyota MR2 shell in 210mm from Team Atlas. Should fit an M05, forget about an M03 though..

what type of grease is recommended for the M05 ball diff?

AW grease?
tamiya diff grease?
Assc Stealth diff grease?

Silicone on the big balls, AW on the thrust bearing.

I used AW grease on the diff plates and 3mm balls. However I first sanded the diff plates to make them flat and I used Much More Thrust bearing grease on the thrust. I changed the balls to the carbide 3mm Tamiya balls.

Make sure you do not over tighten the diff nut. I have already stripped a 2mm locknut, split a thrust bearing and snapped a screw.:nod:

I am now trying some other Tamiya parts in the MO5 diff, which are stronger.
