my 3Racing ball diff snapped the screw mid Qualifying , took it appart and replaced it with a TRF415 part , as tight as i think it needs to be PERFECT :)

The white stripes look out of place... I need to find some black electrical tape. But this is the color combo my 07 MCS was. I miss it occasionally.

MO5 Ball Diffs

I have found the screw is not the problem,(unless you really over tighten, then snaps) but the inferior 2mm locknut is the cause of the problems with the Tamiya and 3Racing MO5 ball diffs.

I have fitted two locknuts into my 3Racing MO5 ball diff and will give it a try. I am hoping that the extra nut will give more purchase area to the screw and prevent stripping.

On the Tamiya ball diff I have removed the nut holder and replaced with the 416 diff screw mount and applied loctite.

I am testing these to see how durable they will be. I am only tightening my ball diff until I can not move the diff gear when using two allen keys.:nod: When fitted into the car the diff feels slightly tighter than a gear diff, however does not slip.

i use the TRF screw and nut now , no problems , and mine is REALLY tight !!!

was racing old school this weekend , stock M03 swift (apart from shocks) and C cells , went well , was 3rd in the first A main and the battery went flat in the 2nd A main !!!! 30 seconds to go !!!! BUGGER IT !!!!

It is certainly not the same size as the placcy ones.

This is my new M05 PRO that I built for the last round of our series.
It TQ'd there, so it can't be bad !
Only other runs it has had is a couple of practice runs at the club, all on carpet, to set it up.

Hope i am in the right section here but i have a small question for you guys.
Will the Alfa Giulia Sprint GTA body fit the M03M???
If so where can i buy a replica of this body if it is been made.
Looked on Fleebay but you hardly see the body there,only the complete car and that is a M04.

been looking for the body alone myself

I've received a set of Muchmore Sweeps (25s) pre mounts with soft (pink) inserts. Can anyone offer advice regarding running the M05 on the same inserts all round on carpet?

Should I glue them up and run them or is that asking for trouble and I should swap the fronts out for a medium insert?

Do you know what the Tamiya part number is for these aluminium spring perches? I have been looking for some for my TRF dampers (42102) but can't find them. Any help is most appreciated. Cheers!
