Front aluminum knuckles, oil filled shocks, bearings, ball diff. I run this batt mainly b/c we run a spec class... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXXCJ9&P=7
I use about 700mah after a 5 min heat with at least 2 minutes of practice.

you can give the duratrax onyx 230 a try I've been using it for a while and love it...its ac/dc, does just about everything except gel cells, and can do a 2c charge for lipo (max of 10amps)

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXTCK1&P=ML -- and for the price you can't beat it

i tend to use this charger more then my checkpoint t1030

djr53,

The car will work fine with standard front knuckles and rear hubs. The main hop up to get is the bearings to replace all of the bushes and plastic bearing parts. I have not heard of anyone having heat bending issues with the front left knuckle.

You should take a look at the http://www.rc-mini.net/joomla/index.php site and see what they have to say. Make sure you have a good read and then ask some more questions.

The ball diff is not always a requirement, but it is good to have. The universals would be higher on my list. 3Racing oil shocks or Tamiya's super mini cva shocks will work with a selection of springs. If your budget stretches then get TRF shocks however they are not really required.

You should build the car and drive it and then change things when you want too.

Not all of the bling is required to have a fast mini. The standard plastic steering does work, a couple shims and it is gold.

My thoughts only.

Regards,

Calvin.

Anyone else notice the s800 m05 body on rcmart?

Wasn't the s800 RWD, are we gonna see an m06?

Hmmm.

i'd highly doubt it - i think the rwd mini ship has sailed...Everyone knows it take mucho effort to get the mo4's to hook up - but once they hook up, they are killer...

plus i think tamiya realized they dropped the ball by giving the m04 a different gearing option then the m03/m05

i think the only way you'll see a rwd m05 is with some end-user customization

Does the M05 chassis need to be taken apart to adjust the M05 ball diff? Was told it could be externally adjusted.

No need to split the chassis with the M-05 ball diff, just unscrew the upper arm and move the drive shaft/dog bone out of the diff outdrive and adjust with 1.5mm driver.

Default Tire inserts

Hey guys,

I need some advice on the tire inserts.
I need to run stock or m-grip tires. Surface is carpet.

Which insert should I go for? Probably many different opinions but let's hear em

Also do you glue the insert to the tire or just glue both ends together and stuff it in?

Thanks
Julius

Can anybody provide me the partnumber of the Union Jack roof sticker for the Mini Cooper of Tamiya? I tried Google, but he's not my best friend today.

Hi Julius,

There are only two inserts, hard and soft. Make tires with both. I would try hard insert first. Glue the foam insert end to end then stuff it in.

Good luck and hope you can join our mini races in JP Raceway.
