What kind of parts are you guys trying to get from Square besides the axles? Anything interesting? Anything not provided by other manufacturers? Jim wants more bling!

Jim

I got a set of titanium coated suspension arm hinges made by Square. They work with TL01, M03, M04 and M05. Got the set on ebay for about $12.

glad to hear it... no more boat anchor? ESC issue?

No ESC problems...but it's amazing the amount of toe and camber a carpet car needs....that also slows an asphalt car with a spec motor:lol::sneaky:

Has anyone tried 3Racing Steering Track For M05?

I just built my M05Pro and i might order that part along with 3Racing Graphite Battery Holder For M05.

I use the battery holder on my M03R and it's great, no more lose batteries!

3Racing Steering Rack

RossoTorro,

I have just fitted this and the new 3Racing MO5 alloy knuckles to my MO5M and will be giving it a run this afternoon. I will report back on what I think. There is no slop in the steering rack and it comes with shims as part of the kit. Here's some pictures.

BTW,

Thank you Greg.

Regards,

Calvin.

3Racing has a motor fan for the M05, M05-19/WO.

If anybody does know a way to mount a fan on an M-05 I'd really like to see it as I can see this being an issue going forward. I'm wondering how effective a fan would be as more of the motor is buried in the chassis on the M-05 but I'd love to hear ideas!

Cheers,
Mike

In addition to the new motor fan from 3Racing, there's also a motor heatsink available too, M05-14/LB.

hi, anyone have a good carpet setup for the M05? thanks.

caltek1 09-05-2009 04:22 PM

The 3Racing steering rack works well. The fitment required a a slight shave of the right mounting point,(viewed from the front), however when fully mounted no slop.

The rack has two ackerman positions, of which I only tried the original position. I did not check the pre-assembled component of the steering rack and spent 15 min walking the track looking for the bearing assembly when it came apart. I would suggest disassemble and reassemble with loctite.

After rebuilding the steering rack, it worked flawlessly. I am very happy with this part, now I will have to test it's durability. :D:D This steering assembly may retain its lack of slop for longer than the plastic assembly in the kit. I will monitor this over time.

3Racing are also releasing a CF steering rack assembly soon. I sure hope Tamiya's release date stays firm for the 19 Sep for their other parts. Hoepfully in Oct/Nov they will release a steering assembly for this car, to compete with the 3Racing and Tech Racing offerings.

Regards,

Calvin.

Tamiya has a steering set coming out on Sept 9th?
I thought there were only 3 items, Motor mount, axles and upper arm kit.
