Yeah, tyres seem to wear rather quickly on this beast, esp when brushless powered!!

Do Take Off RP or Ride or Spice have better durability than X-patterns?

No. The tyres all tend to wear the same. It is caused by the low ride heights used to stop traction rolling of your car. The only way to prevent it is to alter your ride height or replace the standard camber link which would then deem the car illegal.

Choice is yours. I just put up with the wear and run til the tyre is thru to the insert.

We run Clockwise on a rough bitumen track. this is what a set of X patterns looks like after 2 rounds. 2 qualifiers and 3 finals each round.

OK, so it looks like I'm probably on the right track. So with the belt showing like that, we should probably swap front to rear and continue using the set?

You could try and rotate the tyres so that they wear evenly and last a bit longer. Ive been swapping the fronts over left to right to get a little longer out of them but 2 meets is the most ive seen on the surface we currently run on. Personally i've found that either 32 or 36 slicks on the back and the X patterns on the front work best. With the X's now unavailable im not so keen on using the last 3 pairs i have willy nilly. I'm going to try the Glue on the side walls trick with slicks up front and see how i go.

13T/3000kv Hobbywing systems. An almost perfect match with none of the hassles!

The 9T is WAY too fast.

Not possible to 'down tune'

You need another motor I'm afraid. The 9 turn is way way too fast.
