Probably a highly modified M-01 - that may be an Eagle Racing fibre chassis set.

guys what hop ups should i get for my M-03 at the moment it has

alloy arms, alloy front nuckles, oil shocks, ball raced, carbon gearbox shafts, quick release battery holder, toe-in rear hubs, universal joints,

what else should i get, thats how i got the car.

Wicked-Wayz 08-04-2005 04:49 AM

I have no idea what that car is.

Well I am assuming you have a sway bar kit. Probably have some shocks already. Maybe get yourself a motor cooler the fin type. Well that is if you don't have it already. I can't think of anymore hop-ups for the m03 off hand. I am also not sure about the motor cooler. A few friends run them & recommened them is my motor gets warm. Mine does so I am think about trying it out. Tires & rims have some extra. Faster steering servo unless you have a fast one already. There not needed a basic servo works fine. This would be some what of a hop-up. :D

What are the best hop-up tires for the MO3. Or is the Kit tires good enough?

Wicked-Wayz 08-04-2005 06:42 PM

The kits tires will do ok. I am not sure what are good tires. I think it all depends on your track.

I'm getting ready to order a set of HPI 4565's for my M03. For bashing around, the kit tires are fine. But for a prepared surface, these belted X-patterns look like a good choice. (if they suck, someone please chime in)

the HPI's are awsome.
they give heaps of grip and they are long lasting too.

2day i finally tested out my m-03 and i was suprised of how good it went. i wasnt expecting it to be as fast as it was. the only other hop ups that are gona go on my mini are the ta-03 ball diff and make it m-03l

180sx 08-05-2005 01:50 AM

kid-tt01 if u make it a m03L u will have to buy a new shell thats like 60 bux

A Ilievski 08-05-2005 01:57 AM

i dont mind buying a new shell but where can i get the part to make it a M-03l

rayman 08-05-2005 02:27 AM

Good set up for me is blue springs Front and yellow springs rear, medium tamiya oil, swaybar front only. type a tires all around. ride height is critical, go as low as you can so you wont tip over on high speed corners. I know it sounds wierd that you have to put hard springs in a front wheel drive but this car just traction rolls a lot and you need to lessen it.

I won't run anything but tamiya tires & rims for my mini. I try to keep it tcs legal all the time. You would probably have to ask someone who has a m03l already. Get the part number off the manual & order them from your lhs. You could always go to the lhs and ask them. Blue & yellow are way too soft for my track. I use the darker colored springs they are alot stiffer. Surely keep your mini as low as you can go with it. Keep the rear just a little bit higher than the front. I got a 5mm spacer in the front shocks & gonna try 6 or 7. I got a 5mm in the rear I am gonna try a 6mm spacer. The higher the shock oil the less bounce you will have. I have 90 front 70 rear, I might try 100 front 80 rear. I have the one hole/#1 piston in my all my shocks. I have m-type in the front & s-type in the rear.

Wicked- What type of surface do you run on? Part numbers for the stiffer springs? TIA

Carpet or tarmac, I can't remember exactly off hand. I am hoping I have the colors right with the number. All springs came in pairs, cost me between $3-3.50 a pair. These are all the dark colors, all come in single packages(not one big one). I am gonna also pick up the TRF Short Damper Spring Set. Which is comes in one big package. I don't have the part number for that yet. These are all softer than the darker ones.

53633 TRF Short Damper Spring (Ex-Hard) Color: White
53632 TRF Short Damper Spring (Hard) Color: Dark Blue
53631 TRF Short Damper Spring (Medium) Color: Dark Yellow
53630 TRF Short Damper Spring (Soft) Color: Dark Red
