If gpwpat motor was getting to hot could he have had the wrong size pinion gear on his old trinity motor since the intergy gears are geared for more top-end? Maybe he needs some new brushes and strong springs for some extra torque? |
For servos depends on the level you are racing at. I always use digital but I swap one from a Sedan usually when I run Mini again. I at least try to stay with a high toque servo because you are doing double duty with the front axle.

HPI tires
I was wondering if the new HPI vintage wheels and tires will fit with the tamiya m04m (muscle car dragster look). I believe the front is 26mm and the rear is 31mm. I have the tamiya m04m alfa romeo body and do you think I would need to trim the body? I am curious if anybody else has thought or tried out this? I dont want to purchase these wheels and tires if it will not work. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

???????????????
Can anyone tell me which part number I need so that I can shim the wheels on my MO3 mini cooper. I have ALOT of play in there I need to get rid of. Also, I know the old johnson motors are the best, but I need to buy a new one. I want to stay TCS legal, so what is the part number of the best, legal motor I can put back into the cooper. Thanks for the help!

53689 540-J MOTOR All the motors are pretty much the same. how you break them in and care for them make the difference. |
Thanks for the help! Since I've very recently purchased my Cooper, I've found this thread extremely helpful.
Do you have any tips on breaking in the motors? I know water-dipping is the popular break in, but for how long? Anything else I can do to squeeze more HP out of it? Oh, and one last thing, what website do you recommend to get Cooper parts from? |
As the brushes get smaller the way the motor is designed it advances the timing Automatically.
so at least water dip it till you have full brush contact. you can go further is you want. This is all I have done, there are many other rumors out there. but I know this works well. |
What about a recommended website to get parts from?
Also, what are the rules on opening the can? Is it a no-no, or can I treat it like my non-locked endbell stock motors? |
A no no
Not sure online who care many mini parts. Speedtech could get you most anything. |
once again, you are a wealth of good info!
