I have tried to race my Alfa M04 but gave up since I had so much trouble getting it to hook up. It was a whole lot faster on the straights but we have a technical infield that the MO3 just kills in. Plus, you can run the Mo3 tires down to nothing with almost know performance penalty but the m04 is done with a set of tires after one or two runs. But the rear wheel drive is fun for donuts! If I could only get a new Alfa body for it.

Don't start aonther thread, I recommend leaving the discussion to this thread

My recommendation would be to keep the M04 info in this same thread.

I've driven my M04-M Alfa a couple times now (on carpet) and thought it was reasonably well hooked up as built from the box. I think the biggest "problem" with them is TC guys expect 'em to handle like, well, a AWD TC.

I'm also getting set to build a couple M03 RWD conversions per Tony's excellent instructions. The initial report seems to be they handle much like an M04.

Let's see how the two threads do. If the M04 thread I started ends up being quiet, so be it, we'll let it fade away.

Who makes the Honda Fit body that fits on the M03 chassis and do you know if it's for the M03m or M03l configuration?
Thanks

Tamiya doesn't make a Fit body...at least not a modern version. I believe that ABC Hobby makes one though.

They are Japanese based...maybe RCMarket or RCMart...check with them both.

I looked at the specs for the body and states a wheel base of 208mm and width of 163mm. Then I looked up the spec for the rover mini from Tamiya and its specs read a wheelbase of 210mm and a width of 167mm. My question is with I set my M03r for short wheelbase will that body fit as pictured on the ABC website?

Yes...the M-03 can be made a 210-225-239 wheelbase. I think 2mm is close enough

Core can you explain to me the differences and advantages of the different wheelbase choices?
