What's wrong with Tamiya mini wheels? Are they fragile?

Will RC18R tires fit on mini wheels???

They don't stand up to abuse too well.
However the swift wheel I have had better luck with, they are heavier though.

Front HPI X belted and rear HPI X, is it the best set up for M03?

rcarmchl,

rcmart.com will have some alum mounts but I am willing to bet part of your problem is that your endpoints are set too far on your radio.

I went ahead and got a set of those anyway - the current ones just wouldn't tighten down. I am sure you are right too, I will give that a try and see what happens.

thx

Anyone tried Peak/Orion 3200mAH LiPo on M03?

What kind of rubber tires good for mid size carpet track? HPI X or RP 30? RP tires belted?

Where I can buy RP mini tires within US? SpeedTech don't have 30 compound...

ya! Its hot. Good punch and constant power. Weight isn't that much of an issue as with touring cars but it will traction roll on higher grip tracks. I weighted the pack down with lead weights in the top well of battery. Doesn't fit perfectly with stock battery holders. I use a combo of the quick release on one side and stock clips on the other side. I also use the Novak Lipo cutoff to ensure i do not drain the battery past 6V. It cuts off at 6.25V. Its a worthwhile purchase.

check rc-mini for comprehensive review and pics too!

i'm currently using a maxamp 7.4v 6000mah with a novak velocity 4.5r brushless and GTB esc. Runs very cool. the main problem is traction. i go trough tires every 45 mins. the battery didn't fit so i had to sand down the battery holder to fit, but it's well worth it. me and my buddies were parking lot racing and i had the thing running for a good 30 mins before the GTB shut her down and that's not at full charge. the temps were not even hot. the mini is actually good with a strong motor. it tracks straight while laying 20 ft of hpi rubbers on the pavement. i have a brushless set-up on my m04 also and all it does is donuts...at any speed. anyways, my friend's mini is faster than mines with a 18t motor and i'm a better driver. you can figure out why. need to get a one way and dial the suspension in.
