I've reused a set twice and they have never cracked or warped. rcmart has them: http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/produc...ducts_id=17530 |

Dunno mate, i'm new to the wider Mini scene round here!
Apparently, Rally Mini is a bit of a special events set up and only really a few times a year from what i know. I bought this second hand - but i do believe the shocks on it are just standard ones with longer springs and no spacers inside the shock. Tires are rally block tires that have been cut down and glued to fit onto a mini rims There is also a 'bash' guard on the mini - just under the front of the chassis - just like the sump guard on the original Rally Mini's. Just thick lexan or something - like i said - its second hand - i'm not too sure :D |
Do any of you guys know where I might find a metal servo mount for my mini? The on that came with mine is torqing itself loose - Any Help[???

servo saver
rmart.com may have a metal servo saver, I am not sure. Here is a tv show that features a ton of tamiya cars that you may want to check out.
www.rctvlive.com They should be having a show on the mini soon. |
Hello again mini people. Got a chance to race the new mini this weekend and everything was spot on!! :). But I have a tire question. I am using the Tamiya 60D racing slicks. The car grips well and handles great but it seems to go through the front tires super fast.
After about 3 packs (that was during practice) the front tires got a nice ripple on the inside. So I rotated those to the rear and brought the rears (that still looked new at that point) to the front. After the 2nd qualifier just before the main I noticed the fronts again not only had the same ripple on the inside, but there was a small hole inside the ripple (just one hole). So again I rotated the tires to put the “holy” back on the rear and ran my main race. Is this the case with the mini that it munches through a set of tires during one race day? I put 3 practice packs and 3 race packs (2 qualifiers and a main) for a total of 6 packs. So is 6 packs the norm for a set of tires? Thanks for all your help. |
body posts.
I need a set of M03 rear body posts. I never see them listed. Are they part of a tree? Any known source?
thanks |
What inserts are you running? Too soft of an insert can do that. But ultimately I think your overworking the front tires through wheelspin, pushing and maybe insert selection. I have a pair of Type As 60D and they have probably 30packs through them and they are barely worn. I also like S Grips for asphalt and they wear well too.

I am running the stock inserts. Does Tamiya make a stiffer insert? If so what is the part #? Not sure about over cooking the car in the corners. I took extra special care to be smooth due to the FWD push “under under”.
Thanks again for all your help. |
This is the softest I woulde ever run in the front tires... http://www.speedtechrc.com/store/ebp...id=506&id=6119
And then read this article...it goes over what to do with the inserts...and lots of other things http://www.tamiyausa.com/articles/fe...?article-id=12 |
