Definitely supply and demand.
I and 20 others got them for a different price I think it was an oversight and they have now adjusted the price. |

Uhmmm.. maybe because its not a TC... This new design actually makes perfect sense for a 'mini chassis'...
http://cdn.rcmart.com/images/58593-b.jpg[/QUOTE] My point was that they could have designed the plate that holds the suspension shaft with tabs that extend under the arms for a droop screw to rest on. That wouldn't make it into a TC. I like you would not mind trying out the new bits and pieces.. However in a previous post it was stated that they will only work on new v2. |

We will never know why exatcly... all im saying is that this, imo, makes perfect sense vs your typical TC application given this is an upgrade to an existing 'platform'. I see how your idea could possibly work in the rear just from a realestate standpoint, unfortunately more goes into the execution when 'engineering' and implementing a design. Mabe they saw something that you or I am not seeing. Ther front is a different animal when it comes to real-estate and maybe they wanted to keep the 'adjustment strategy' the same Fr and Rr without limiting any of the droop that the current platform is capable of, thus the outcome... We will never know... While you are trying the new 'bits' may as well throw the new chassis on since that is the only way to get the new bits, all in the same box... for now... |

I got mine yesterday from overseas. I noticed they were available and ordered. Tamiya USA has plenty of my money from over the years.
Eric can you confirm if the current M05 sway bar kit will still fit the v2? I've bought these at least 3 times and sent them when I sold the cars. Thanks. Yes. Pretty much every M05 Hop-Up part works on the v.2 http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...earswaybar.jpg |

Also anyone who purchased at the higher price will be refunded the difference. I would love to hear from anyone who did purchase at $269 to see if they actually do that. |
So...who actually likes and uses the alloy toe in plate from the M-05 Gold? I found the 2.5 degrees of rear toe a bit much. Has anyone found it advantageous?

some nice battles with minis:)
btw, talked to one of the dealers in Japan and it seems like there was huge number of pre-orders. Whatever that was left are all gone for now. Hence the price gouging? There were a couple on ebay for a decent price but got pulled off too. Wth |

For you guys with the M05V2 vs M05Pro is there any performance difference that is worth looking at for racing over the M05Pro? Or cross compatible?
If anyones raced theres yet. |

Just finished up my v2 included many _very_ high res images.
Did the usual screw up on the rear arms (wanted mine long, but had a trip down medium lane before I realized). Was a bit of slop in the front suspension arms that I had to shim out. Motor sits in further for sure.. If you want to weight balance the car and run shorty pack you'll need to get creative with the taping! Excited to see how it drives! |
Now that everyone's getting v2's, if you have rounded packs you're looking to get rid of cheap let me know! ;)

ok... because you want to know.... all you'll need is the new chassis parts tree, the new arms part trees, and new longer rear hinge pins :) but it may be a long wait until Tamiya releases the parts trees separately.
Here are some quick crappy iphone pics to illustrate: http://images16.fotki.com/v387/photo...6921641-vi.jpg http://images51.fotki.com/v102/photo...6924224-vi.jpghttp://images116.fotki.com/v695/phot...6926031-vi.jpghttp://images19.fotki.com/v677/photo...6927689-vi.jpghttp://images15.fotki.com/v1626/phot...6929537-vi.jpg |
I have a question about the universals (53597)
Once I get them in the car the seem to be too long, when I turn the axles I can feel the tension it has when the wheels are pointing straight. Is there something I'm missing here? Putting the stock axles and shafts in it feels like it should, although the o-ring they tell you to put inside makes it tight again. I must be screwing something up here. It's not a binding feeling, it's the shafts bottoming out on the axles and the outdrives. |
