Wow! The humble Mardave has gone high tech!

I'd be all over it if they'd offer a rubber tire option. I've wanted a regular Mardave basher car for years, but can't stand foam tires.

Are you using the ezrun 13t 380 sized finned motor or the 13.5t standard 540 motor? I mainly run the finned motor but have used the 540 size one with no problems.

How old are your batteries. Weak ones will do something like this.

High draw servos like some of the Savox ones will cause brown outs.

Spektrum receivers also can cause brown outs.

You should look into a glitch buster.

Looks like no diff and no suspension damping.

Oh yeah nothing like foam tires for grip.

As Sydewynder said, it's most likely an issue with a high torque servo (like the Savox) or a Spektrum receiver.

I solved the problem in my mini by using a Capacitor plugged into the 3rd channel (or B/C) slot on the receiver, I used a 4700uf 16V, but others have used a 4700uf 10V.

I kind of like the even cruder predecessor to the Schumacher. So wonderfully crude, but still on foam.

Must be a handful to drive, even on foams. Pretty interesting though, Schumacher states they have a 2S version of the Supastox, but no pictures. I wonder how they fit everything there.

Tim and sydewynder many thanks. I would never of thought of the servo. We do use high torque metal gear ones. By chance today though he used a a new lipo and it was fine. No harm in the servo mod with the cap. Will try that next time. My mistake on the last post. It's the 13t.

I took my M05 Pro for the first test session at Speedtech today. Mine was the red Alfa. First time back to on on road in 7 or 8 years. Driving was really fun, only hit the concrete wall twice! With S Grips in front it pushed and w/slicks it over rotated. On 3rd run the new battery started to kick in and the car felt like it was settling in. I dialed out some front droop and this helped a lot. Although I hit the concrete wall twice head on, the car held together, and stock suspension was still tight. Body took a beating a : )

Temp on Revtech 17.5 after over 10 minutes was 109*, speedo is on blinky and current timing is +2 past center mark, so next time I will bump timing to +4.

Next test will be at TQ hobbies carpet. probably this week sometime. Then I'll see everyone in May at the TCS qualifier!

Hi guys, BRAND new to the RC world, picked up my first car - a Tamiya M06 couple days ago - 10 hours later, here's the result.

Nothing fancy, but should look ok on the track and not get mixed up with other Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprints !

Opinions are welcome - there was a little paint run inside & man I hate the stickers they give ya for the window covers - so next time it'll be paint.

Fujin 211go knockoff?

I have a Mini Cooper M03, its been running good, its all in stock form. I just want to know if there are any tips to reduce the gearing noise? I just dont like the cracking gearing noise especially during on throttle.

The noise is pretty normal. It's part of the charm! Assuming you already have bearings in the transmission, about the only thing you can do is try some new gears and put a light coating of grease on them (Tamiya Ceramic would be ideal).

To solve the gear noise/friction, you can change your gears to new ones, and grind the teeth's edge at an angle ......

You do this to all the gears? Can you post a pic of it. Thanks.

Also can you guys advise which rubber/slick tyres are best for asphalt and carpet? I browsed a bit and really got confused, some are low profile and some are high profile diameter and some are inch up size. Are all the tyres fit into Tamiya rims?
