how many minutes can I run on a 1800mah nicad battery on a carpet track? I've never raced a mini on carpet so I really don't know. I'll be using the stock 27 turn

thanks

Youll probably burn through 100-1200mah in a 5 minute race. You're probably okay for an 8 minute main, but cutting it close.

thanks for the reply, my charger packs them full usually around 2200 or so I should be ok.

My mini with 10.5T, foam tires, esc -no timing- and lipo 4200mA after run a 8 min in large tracks still has a 30% the charge

My bad, I meant 1000 to 1200mah in 5 minutes. I'm sure you caught on, though.

If you get the chance (and you want to upgrade to lipo) go to Hobbypartz.com. They've got some 2400mah Gens Ace hard case packs on there for $13! You might have to change the plug, but that's a small price to pay. A bunch of guys I know are running them and they've been flawless.

I've got two in the mail already, they wont be here before Sunday though.

Hey Jim

The other night at Carcar Mario ran his mini for 45 min straight. Did over 200 laps and the motor came off at 120F. I am thinking we might be able to run an endro night or up the mains to 10-12 minutes haha.

monkeyracing 11-04-2011 11:20 AM

Enduro! It's about time we did another. Once we're settled in our new home and done our WCICS race, we'll have to get on it.

any harder outdrives & front axels???

Hi there.
Are there any harder outdrives & front axels.
I know Tamiya makes hardened outdrives, dont seem that much better.
3Racing makes hardened front axels, are they any good??

Good trying to get something that doesnt wear in the slot where the dogbone pin goes.

Cheers

Then you use the plastic blade adaptors on the outdrives, gets rid of the axle problem totally as it is all in one.

I've posted this several times, but Madulla is right. If you fit the plastic blade protectors over the pins it does eliminate the problem. You do have to open up the outdrive slots with your Dremel and a cut off wheel or disc. This is fairly time consuming and you do have to exercise some care, but is not difficult to do.
