Lees52: yea i do normally run a low rear roll center (carpet foam), I think our definitions of stable may be two different things. I see what you could feel about the high roll center keeping the rear end supported, To me that is not what i am looking for in stability, i want to feel the rear end roll and when i can do that the car is always predictible for me to drive . For me a high rear roll center dose make the car twitchy, and that is the a big problem for me also.
Contradiction: That being said, I would love a high rear roll center if i put a 14lb spring underneath it, so its really the total package that decides what is possible. you can make the car feel good reguardless of what roll centers are on it,(just the rest of the set up will change.

Yeah I guess rear roll a setup strategy that I havent tried since i havent liked the feel initially. But as you say if you persist you can make it feel good for your driving style.
So is there areas on the car you change first when trying to get your car to steer and feel right with rear roll? Or is it just woteva you think will work based on what you know and track conditions.
Sorry if someone has asked a similar question earlier.
I guess rear oil, springs and sway bar would be pretty crucial.

Chris Adams: Hi Chris, The biggest sign for me was that my car felt funny in the sweeper. i drive sweepers VERY hard going in, then let off more than others in the center, and super hard again exiting. almost like just loading the car twice while going around it. and i could feel the car just not being normal, in the the sweepers mainly. when i started doing servo testing i noticed a big change in handling in the very high load sections, so i assumed that the servo needed to be stronger. With rubber this has not been a problem, only mod foam so far.

The reason I ask is I was having trouble with my car in the sweeper unless I add quite a bit of camber (2.5-3) degrees. Kind of choppy like it grabs and then lets go... The setup is pretty close to dialed just know I could get another tenth out of it...

Lees52: i work with alot of different things to try and make the car turn with my favorite rear end set-up(soft, low roll, long link/lots of angle) but it is very rare that i can make it turn how i want. that kind of a rear end has so much stability that it is hard to overcome, without just making the inside rear tire hike with things like, more caster, camber, softer spring, lay front shocks down. so it is really hard for me to always figure out at different places with the always changing traction. if i knew the answer to our question i would be in the winners circle alot more.lol you do seem to understand, maybe you can help me

Paul didnt have a chance to try the reccomendatins you suggested the weather didnt cooperate. I will try in a few weeks. I will be racing at a medium grip asphalt any changes to the car you can suggest. Thanks for all of your help
