2008 R.O.A.R. On-Road Asphalt Nats! -Official Thread- (early info release)

This may not be an issue, but I want to get it out there to hopefully save some people their time and money.
At this race the schedule will be followed. I don't just mean the running of the heats and that sort of thing. I mean the event starts on Wednesday June 18th at 9am. Thats when practice will begin. Nobody will be allowed on the track once the new layout is built on Monday the 17th. (No pros, no sponsors, no locals, no exceptions) Nobody likes to show up to a big event ready to hit the track for the first time and find out that a few other (or a few dozen) drivers have already been practicing for two days.
THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN HERE.
I just wanted to get this out there. This means people can feel free to take less time off work. Also this will cut down on many other expenses(hotel, food, car rental, exct.) This is gonna be a good year for racing!

Since my last post I have had multiple pm and a couple e-mails about practicing in the weeks prior to the event. Many want to know if the track will be prepped in the the same manner leading up to the event as it will durring the event.
So here is the plan;
Practice days will begin in March.
Racing begins in April.
Starting May 18th (which is the Nats Warm-Up Race) I'll be prepping the
track exactly as it will be for the nats.
Teams or Manufactures wanting to reserve the track for test sessions
may do so on the dates when regular races are not scheduled, and the
track will be prepped if requested.
Hopefully this will allow everyone an oppertunity to get a feel for the surface and the facility before the big day.
