A fairly high grip asphalt (purpose built) track

Tires... I am in the process of changing from Elligi 40 Front and rear foams to Sorex 36R (might as well start getting ready for the inevitable)....

I am going 36R as the track temp here in Perth can get quite high, and a few people have already tried 32R and reported the tires overheated

You can always dremel the side of the chassis, they are carbon fiber, nothing wrong doing that....I mounted a 104T (64P) on my pro 4....dremel both side about 2mm and works great.

The chassis is not your concern, you have to check the gear is actually too big or not cause it might go BELOW the lowest point of the chassis....that might be the problem when you run on carpet, it will drag the carpet, strip the gear and such.....if you run outdoor, your spur will be strip very quickly...

You have to cut and drill the Buds bumper to make it fit. I believe there is a template on the board somewhere though. Maybe a link to it a couple of pages back.

Just a reminder, the search function here works

Bumper Info 1

Bumper Info 2

Spur Info

When using a MS Internet Exlporer, use ctrl+F and search for the appropriate terms to find the post quickly.

what is everyones thoughts for diff/one-way/spool on carpet?

i seem to hear lots of conflicting ideas on which one is the ticket, and when to use each one.

the tack im giong to be racing at has a 1-2 high speed corners, and then evenly mixed between sharp and medium bend corners.

this is for 19t / stock btw.

thanks

On carpet? A front diff is the ONLY option. Everything else will make you slower. Check out the carpet setups for both the HPI cars and everything else out there (TC3/ Xray / XXX-S / etc). You won't find a one-way or spool anywhere.

Are you talking about foams on carpet or rubber tires?

foams.....always a diff.

rubber tires....diff or oneway depending on the layout.

Default Erik Shauver - setup sheet pdf...

Erik Shauver,

If there ever is a running change to the blank setup sheet pdf file....can one of the changes be that under "Track Conditions" there's a checkbox for asphault or carpet.

Also....is there a 'new' blank setup sheet that uses 'checkboxes' available for download?

I noticed that the setup sheets for E. Andreassen and Andy Moore are a bit different then others (using the check boxes).

Thanks.

Nexus: We'll try to work that into the next setup sheet (the asphalt/ carpet check boxes. The website has the older version of the sheet up at the moment and should be fixed soon back to the "interactive" version we made.

Oh yeah, for foam+ carpet drivers, check out :Andy Moore's Cleveland Setup

What is the "other" on the shocks. Using external up-travel limiters?

Thanks

Don't suspose any one can give me a few more pointers on the pistons used on Andy Moore's set-up

like which number they are ? or are they by another manufacture ?? just that i couldn't tell you which to use just by the sizes ;+(

Oh and with the Roll center spacers is that the total between chassis and the purple mounts or is it assumed that'll you'll at least be using the 2mm purple ones supplied as std. ??

I assume it's a total figure but just want to check to be sure ;+)

Also no rear anti roll bar is mentioned ??

Thanks
