Doug,

I think robK and Derek Manchester-two fast guys run stock chassis all year long. But I do think the 3mm s better for carpet. Theoretically will be freer, less prone to tweak or breakage and fatigue and-cars underweight-so a heavier chassis isnt abad thing.

Cant wait to get the car on the rug next weekend!!! With extremely limited experience on carpet, this is gonna be interesting.

HPI's knuckle seem alittle better...
hopfully that extra bit of material will hold the knuckle together better!

Jet's knuckles have a lot of material around the holes and I've had no problems with them at all, plus they're much cheaper

True!... depending where you order from... 2 jet knuckles = 1 HPI or Square part.

A big thumbs up to HPI customer service......called them regarding the V1.1 bevel gear, left a message, called back within 1 hour, just simply tell him my address, and said it will ship out within the next hour or so....and asked does my PRO 4 has any known problem or so.....(I wish I can make up whole bunch of stuff and hope HPI will send me another PRO 4 for free......but, I can't)

I haven't talk to someone that nice as a customer service rep....I am gald I have 3 HPI now....

P.S....Hope I can get some extra HPI Pro 4 stickers....LOL

For those who didn't do the upgrade yet...call (949) 753-1099, then press 3, then hold, you press 1 to leave message (you should leave message...they will call you back very soon)....tell him your name and address...done, no stupid question asked.

Thanks everyone here that shared this awesome information...and thanks HPI.

Ray-
The stock chassis is good, but I have the PRP coming soon. KevinK's PRP car was better than mine when we sprayed the local track down with Paragon recently

I guess you guys are damn lucky.... HPI is willing to send the upgrade for free... plus extra stickers... but for us here.... to bad that we have to buy..... but maybe just because we didn't ask from HPI..

Anyway, I am happy with it... I already bought the upgrade before reading this thread...
all the best to hpi....

Default Carpet Question

OK, I have a Pro 4 on the way. I have been running an Xray Factory Kit and before that I was running an Xray. I love this car, but I wanted something different. I am keeping my Xray as old reliable, but I was wondering if anyone can give me some setup tips for the Pro 4 on carpet?

Thanks in advance.
