I hit a board seam too on lap one-third corner in Mod 12th and tore the arm off my 12th scale Sunday. Didnt even get one lap in!! Bummer!! but thats racin'

Also-talked to afew guys here about the pro4 on carpet and I have some more set-ups to try now!!

I feel your pain! During Practice @ SoCal, someone decided to check their radio setting in the pits and into the cement wall went my Pro4 at about 30 miles an hour. Broke the front arm, and after a frantic search, realized i had no spares. Fortunetely for me, Slim called FV Hobby People, who just happened to have one set of arms. Raced over there and picked up the last set.

I'm sure HPI is trying to get the parts out; its only a matter of time. I know how important parts are, its one of the reasons I stopped running Losi products. The LHS's near me stopped carrying Losi parts when Horizon bought them out, and so went my parts supply. I still like Losi, but with no local parts source, other then SoCal, Ultimate, Pegasus (all 45 min + drives from me), I wasn't about to drive down to them each time I needed parts.

If you want, I have a barely used FT TC3 or a used XXX-S GP that you could pick up off me in trade for your Pro4. I've even got a XXX-T or a B4...PM me and maybe we could trade.

I am thinking of getting some ceramic bearings for my car. Does anyone have any experience of them and are they a worthwhile upgrade?
Also do they require less maintenance than standard bearings?

On another note is it worth replacing the diff balls with Tungsten carbide or ceramic balls??

Any help much appreciated!!!

Yup-they are carbide.

Turns out my diffs came loose last Sunday. I checked them mid day and they were tight-so in last qualifier and main-they must have started to loosen. Thats with AE spring in them. I might next try the AE t-nut if they loosen again. That explains a little of the lack of rip out of the hole.

Associated Purple front

Ray, I have used the Associated t-nut and bolt parts along with the Assoc diff spring for a couple weeks now and I have had no problems at all since I changed them. The diff is still smooth as silk too. I bet with a loose rear diff your car was pushing like crazy.

I have a B4 that has less than two months racing on it that I would gladly trade for a Pro4 as well!
