Building the Pro-4
Guys;
Thinking about my Tweak problem, I decided to disassemble the Gearboxes and look in that area for something.
What I found was there is a noticable gap at the opening for the side Bearings when the boxes are fitted together by hand. Checking the individual halves, it appears to be coming from the Bottom case(s) that mount to the Chassis and is there whether they are screwed down or not.
I have read previously of People noticing this, but didn't see where anyone had thought of it as being a problem. Since the upper Deck is mounted to the top of the Gearboxes, any misalignment here could be causing my problem. giving me the false impression that the upper Deck is the cause.
Any comments or observations while building your Car(s) would be helpful.
Thanks,
Steven

The chassis will be 3mm thick like all his other chassis setups. Toplate will more than likely be 2mm like my TC3 setup. I think he will also make 3mm toplates for carpet racing.

That gap is to prevent compress the bearings. I never have tweak problem when built mine.
Pops, did you tap all screw holes. I found out this can also give less pressure to the gearbox.
I just read the pro4 test by Xtreme RC Magazine. In the con section, they mention the chassis tweak when building the pro4.
