If the E Power 4500 is indeed from the same factory then this is very funny because Gavin swore that he would never buy another Eastpower cell after his first batch were bad. I suppose you can buy them but if they have different heatshrink

I've got three packs of these cells and they seem to be very good to me (I'm no expert on NimH as I started on Lipo). I was at a race day two weeks ago and lent them to a friend who thought they were very good.

We compared numbers on the cells to some sets of IB4200's and they were much better.

Lots of punch and no signs of losing power towards the end of a 5-minute run

Just to clear things up, I have not tested the EP4600 cell and can't say for certain that the E-Power 4500 cell is the same core as the EP4600 cell. Not sure if it even really matters.

Here is what I can say: I have done extensive testing on the E-Power cell and can tell you that it is an absolutely solid cell. No doubt.

Funny my rep from east power sent me Epower and touted them as their new "brand" when i asked about trinity's exclusivity deal hahaha. It could be they are trying to see if they can promote a new label to get away from deals they made.

This gives you insight into the workings of companies in mainland China. The rep who touted the E Power brand as a new line from Eastpower is supposably not telling the truth according to Eastpower. He is in actual fact an ex Eastpower employee touting his own cells now. The worst part about this guy is that he has made out for a while that he was still working for Eastpower when in fact he had left the company.

The trouble with most mainland Chinese companies is that the employees are out to make a fast buck and have no consideration of how they achieve this . They will lie to your face if they think there is another dollar in it.

Anyone had any experience with these batteries? How are they comparing to East Power 4200 cells for performance?

Looking to buy a new pack and the choice is between a 6 cell pack of E-Power 4500s or EastPower 4200 cells. I race 19T stock.

I have a set of each unmatched directly from china and they are both great i know that doesn't help you but i guess why are you lookin gat ep4200's the 4600's are out and they have the same voltage characteristics as the 4200's w/ the capacity+ of th e4500's.

The epower 4500's gave decent numbers btw, the ir was very slightly higher but i think that was just due to the random nature which they sent me the cells.

Have you looked at grepow cells?

Haven't found anyone with EP4600s in the UK. I've got a pack of Grepow 4500s which I've had for while now and it's still going strong.

The only choices I've found within my budget are EP4200s unmatched and loose for around £31 or E-Power 4500s matched by Demon for £34.99 (seems like a bargain to me ).

Usually get my cells from Demon just wanted to see what others thoughts were.

hey guys i run gavins batteries and i can assure you they are the real deal. i tested the e power 4500s last week in my 12th scale. voltage was 1.228. i was 2nd fasted in stock but that was not due to lack of power. my lap times were identical to my ib4200s at 1.244 voltage. these packs have plenty of power and punch and are super reliable. so there you have it! go to speedzoneusa.com and get yours today you will not be dissappointed!!

Since the 4600s aren't BRCA legal, and since there may be some big changes to the EFRA/BRCA cell rules for 2008 (will have to wait and see what actually gets approved, potentially nothing!) there is no motivation for the UK suppliers to stock large quantities of EP4600 right now.

EP4200 is BRCA legal for the time being and is an excellent cell, at an excellent price. You would need to have a pretty sharp eye to tell the difference between the latest batches of 4200 and the 4600, if you know what I mean .
